Re: Why Do People Keep Calling GEJ "Clueless"? by Orunto: 8:53pm On Jan 07, 2015
GMB thinks that GEJ wouldn't know how he approached the Caliphate to seek their approval to consult OIC to bring bokoharam into Nigeria to help him bring the Presidency back to the North by force. GMB thinks that GEJ doesn't know that he and Abacha are not Nigerians and that they only had military training in Nigeria that gives them the boldness to claim Nigerian citizenship by subterfuge. GMB thinks GEJ doesn't know that he can never win in Katsina, his self acclaimed state. GMB thinks that GEJ doesn't know many things such as granting him GCFR when he doesn't deserve it. Why wouldn't a dunce call a Don clueless whenever he wants to display his ingratitude and foolishness?

Unfortunately one of our biggest problem as a country is illiteracy. If not that majority of Nigerians are illiterates, we would have been asking the right questions and how Buhari intends to jail corrupt Nigerians.

Which jail can accommodate all corrupt Nigerians knowing that an average Nigerian is corrupt?

Which non-corrupt judge will prosecute the corrupt Nigerians? Is it this same extremely corrupt judiciary that will fight corruption? Would Buhari double as the president and Judge at the same time?

How do you stop the rich but corrupt elites from paying their way through the courts?

Where do you find the non-corrupt law enforcement agents that will implement the law to the letter? How does he plan to prosecute his party men when the looted funds can be traced to his campaign?

To what end has such previous fights against corruption been effective? Has the proposed mode of fight against corruption ever been effective?

Even under military where the presidency has ultimate powers, To what end did the fight against corruption go? Did it end corruption?

The bare truth is that this proposed mode of fight against corruption can never work under our democracy .... Never!!!. It can only make corruption more sophisticated.

The only solution is the systematic way GEJ have dealt with corruption. The E-wallet system eliminated the fertilizer scam, the biometric registration eliminated the ghost worker scam and saved over 50bn per annum, the pension reform have put to end the age long pension scam. More needs to be done

By the time subsidy on refined product is removed and crude sold to local refineries at reduced prices.... The subsidy corruption will be eliminated.

Nigerians need to push the state governors to sign the freedom of information bill, with that allocations to state will be on a live e-site and expenditures on such funds can be updated live. Nigerians will have the opportunity to make comparisons across the spend patterns across different states.

Nigerians need to wake up and stop playing illiterates. We need to start thinking beyond our noses. There is no short term fix to the many issues bedeviling Nigeria but systematic and strategic policies are the way out.

This is the only way out of corruption. Anybody who tells you he will fight corruption..... Ask him how and test the feasibility.

Now who is clueless, GEJ or the ones that call him clueless?

u're talking like u're in power. About the subsidy scam and saving 50bn naira from ghost workers, where is the benefit? All I want to see is benefits of all his policies and don't tell me he brought our railway back to life. If the head of a fish is spoilt, the whole body would spoil too.

He is the best we've ever had
1.Even my grandson knew that stealing is the nucleus of corruption and GEJ doesn't know that

2.Yar Adua signed a national budget even when he was already in a vegetable state and GEJ had no idea, don't even know country or hospital Yar Adua was-totally clueless.

3. When the law was on his side to take over as the acting president, he was totally clueless on how to claim it, until Akunyili saved his a.ss.

4. It took him 3 weeks to realize that I chibok incident isn't a hoax to the bewilderment of the world. And senator McCain called him some clueless fellla called Goodluck.

5. That Americans will know if the money he supposed to be looking after is missing, that his source of knowing- that is damned clueless.

What more reason do you want?

I'll give you just a few of his actions/inactions/statement - others can contribute:
for a start because he thinks stealing is not corruption
Because he sacked a whistle blower on account of financial recklessness (not because of corruption or embezzlement) and left those who couldn't defend their account in office
Because he thinks america will know
Because he gave pipeline security to militants and since then oil theft have skyrocketed to levels never seen before
Because we have heard that militants now buy warships for navy

Your grandson knows stealing is corruption....fine. we can play all the politics we want around it, quote out of context to suit our political affiliations but it still does not change the fact that stealing is not directly corruption. Now if I were him, I wont make the statement not because its wrong but because political vultures will pounce on it like you've done. When someone steals we call the person a thief and not a corrupt person. Stealing is a subset of corruption and not equal to corruption.

Your point 2& 3 are probably the most naive justification to cluelessness. Gentleness, meekness, loyalty and abiding by the rule of law can never be equated to cluelessness. Jonathan was loyal to his boss and he strictly abided by the rule of law by not usurping power when the president has not been officially declared incapacitated. Sometimes you lot sound like you've missed the military regime alot where everything is forcefully done with impunity. We prayed to get out of military rule and GEJ is the true embodiement of what democracy should look like and we need to start getting used to it.

The fight against insurgents was way on before the chibok incidents. I am not sure where you got the info that he considered it hoax. Insinuations and rumours does not always pass as reality. However, the questions around the chibok incident have continued to seek answers not just by Nigerian public but also by international observers because alot of things dont add up. When the presisency and the military seek answers... it does not equate considering it hoax rather it seeks an end to the menace. Till date, you and me have no full details about the chibok incident. ... I am certain the story is not exactly as the public knows it but I'll rather have the intelligence community do their work. Yet again I cant find anything clueless here

'America will know'... Probably not the best statement for a learned environment but perfect for the context and audience. . Do you mind telling mw what us clueless about that statement without emotions? There is no way anybody can pull out $20billion dollars from circulation that America whose currency is pulled out would not know. This is just like saying someone pulls out 3.6trillion naira from circulation and CBN will be blind to it..... Again, nothing clueless about the statement.

Unfortunately we turn blind eyes to the things that matter and focus on irrelevant stuffs just to score cheap political points.

There is nothing clueless about the automobile, power, , agricultural sectors. Nothing clueless about our railways and roads. Nothing clueless about the oil and gas downstream policies, nothing clueless about the new universities and almajiri achools, nothing clueless about the gas gathering plants, nothing clueless about free and fair elections, nothing clueless about FOI bills, nothing clueless about youwin and many other wonderful initiatives, nothing clueless about the future of Nigeria under GEJ. ........... Yet we seek nothings just to call someone clueless.

Illiteracy and laziness to think is Nigeria's biggest problem. We will still complain about the next president after GEJ yet no plans for the future.

Nigerians.... The future is here under GEJ. open your eyes.

Because he has no clue exactly how much dissappeared under his watch. Is it $10billion or $ 40 billion? We will never know I guess. Until we boot him out, that is.
Re: Why Do People Keep Calling GEJ "Clueless"? by ypzilanti: 11:54pm On Jan 07, 2015
Because he keeps spending 70 percent of our budget on recurrent expenditures and does not ever fulfill the performamce of the miserly 30 percent capital expenditures
Re: Why Do People Keep Calling GEJ "Clueless"? by ypzilanti: 11:55pm On Jan 07, 2015
Because he keeps making hasty decisions like renaming universities without due process and banning super eagles only to retract and mumble nonsense
Re: Why Do People Keep Calling GEJ "Clueless"? by ypzilanti: 11:59pm On Jan 07, 2015
Because he cant reign in his wife who goes around causing problem for him and making enemies
Re: Why Do People Keep Calling GEJ "Clueless"? by ypzilanti: 11:59pm On Jan 07, 2015
Because he pardoned a convicted thief just because he can
Re: Why Do People Keep Calling GEJ "Clueless"? by ypzilanti: 12:01am On Jan 08, 2015
Because he depleted our foriegn reserves and excess crude account without explaining how and why
Re: Why Do People Keep Calling GEJ "Clueless"? by ypzilanti: 12:05am On Jan 08, 2015
Because the scams keep making headlines and he has never led the moral battle against corruption by expressing disgust and ensuring judiciary is equipped and coerced into doing its job. Not one conviction to boast of.
