That is the problem with many Nigerians, we do not reason critically and we refuse to say the truth. How can you pay light bill of 3k for a 2 bed room flat and still spend 20k on just petrol a month? You will still buy oil, buy plug and pay the generator repairer. Most households have at least 2 generators yet they pay bill for just having NEPA wire connected to house without light.
Thanks for this input. I have always believed the timidity and indifference of the masses is the main reason for our sufferings.

We are not ready yet. When we are ready, we KNOW what to do.

You mean Buhari tackled our economy problems in 83, by imprisoning political leaders..Mostly from the west..
Constraining various groups, including the Nigerian Medical Association, which was outlawed, and the National Association of Nigerian students,
and he promulgated two decrees that restricted freedom of the press and suppressed criticism of the government. Decree Number 4 forbade any journalist from reporting information considered embarrassing to any government official.

The Buhari led government in 83 introduced a comprehensive package of austerity measures. It closed the country's land borders for a period to identify and expel illegal alien workers and placed severe restrictions on imports and heavy penalties on smuggling and foreign exchange offenses. The austerity measures made it difficult for local industries to procure essential imported raw materials, leading many of them to close or to operate at greatly reduced capacity. Many workers were laid off, and government itself retrenched many workers to increase its "cost effectiveness." All of these actions were accompanied by high inflation. The price of basic food items rose, and life became increasingly difficult, even for the affluent.

Bros, the only good thing buhari did was war against indiscipline.. That was it..
This man should retire from politics and Gej should go back to Bayelsa and fish..

There are more credible people in Nigeria than can rule than both of them.. Some are even contesting now.
When austerity measures are introduced, there will be a period of pains until the country weathers out the issues that caused the austerity measures in the first place.

Huge Gov't debts and corruption were the main issues.
GMB tacked them. The closure of land borders to fish out illegal aliens is not bad in itself, improving cost effectiveness is not bad in itself.

Because GMB spent only 20 months, the benefits that could have come from the austerity were cut short by IBB who rolled back all GMB policies. We all agree IBB started the major disintegration of Nigeria's economy and not GMB.

Anyway, the long and short of it is we have a limited option of candidates to chose from in February 2015. Out of the 12 or so parties that presented presidential candidates, only APC and PDP have the structure on ground to win national elections.
Out of the two candidates presented by both parties, who is a better choice?
I can categorically tell you it is GMB.

Brother.

In summary, we need CHANGE.
Even PDP is now campaigning on change. Whatever happened to continuity under GEJ.

GMB is the answer to many of Nigeria's perpetual problems.

GMB 2015. Competence is our Watchword

It is just the truth. I can't afford to watch another 4 years of GEJ's horror stories.

If you have time check out these 3 threads and see why it rather GMB to GEJ.

Have you read Buhari/APC manifestos at all? Buhari that couldn't fend for himself since Babangida sacked him would wave a magic wand and all problems would be solved.
You my friend should not be allowed to vote, the issues are too complex for you to discern.
Mr Man, you know nothing about the military and coup plotting! It's the person in direct control of the army in the capacity of GOC's that can attempt coups in most situation...Head of States are usually alienated from such leverage...Do you think if the COAS wants to topple GEJ 2mao, dat GEJ would defend himself..when he's only sorrounded by his ADC and a few palace brigades? Why do you think IBB retired ALL top military personnels in his time and stop/impounded military trainings if he wasn't scared of coup? As a soldier, when you come in thru a coup, u r likely to be ousted by one!
