Till death do part -

A US couple married for
69 years have passed away within eight hours
of one another.

Gene Warrington, 88, and his 86-year-old wife,
Pat, died on 27 December in a hospice in
Findlay, Ohio, reports the Advertiser-Tribune.

They met in junior high school and eloped as
teenagers just before Mr Warrington embarked
for World War II.

He had been able to visit his wife's room and
hold her hand a few days before they died.
The ailing veteran had realised she was in a
critical condition and said life wouldn't be fun
anymore, according to his son.

Phil Warrington said that eight hours after his
father breathed his last, his mother passed on.
"You could have almost predicted it," he said.
"They did everything in their life together.

They
were never apart."
The couple raised three children, had seven
grandchildren and a dozen great-
grandchildren.
