A stalwart of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party in Katsina State, SenatorIbrahim Muhammad Ida has dissociated himself from the re-election bid of president Jonathan.It would be recalled that Senator Ida, who represented Katsina central in the last senate, was named among the president’s campaign team.But speaking to newmen, Senator Ida said he was not in any way part of the presidentJonathan’s campaign team as published in some national dailies.Senator Ida, who spoke through his senior special assistant, Alhaji Auwalu Buba, saidhe had been in Saudi Arabia since the pastseven days before the publication linking him with Jonathan’s campaign.He denied any association with the campaign team, stating that no contact emanated between him and the presidency regarding the campaign.The senator described the action as another way of jeopardising his political future by some retrogressive elements, even as he said it was as defamatory.He, however, urged his supporters to disregard the publication linking him with Jonathan’s campaign team.

I have never seen as much shame meted out to a sitting President anywhere in the world.

Nobody wants to associate with a failure and Jonathan is now like Jezebel who everybody is running away from.

What an irony life is, nobody had as much goodwill as this man in 2011 that my family always say he will bring "goodluck"

to the country but now my family doesn't even want to hear his name mentioned near them.

Why is the PDP making the president look like an orphan. Practically everyone who could make impact has either dissociated from him or kept mute. How is he going to win the election when he can't even raise a campaign team apart from Asari and FFK. Meanwhile his opponents are everywhere, walking freely and interacting with the downtrodden.

It is glaring everywhere in the country that GEJ has failed the country. No one in the North want to associate with someone who tagged them as "terrorists" "born to rule" "parastites" etc. GEJ appostles haven't done him any good. GEJ hasn't done himself any favor either. A sitting president saying in public that Igbos were the ones who made him presiden with their votes. Such utterances are coming back to hunt him. The few left Northern politicians associating with him are the ones who live in Abuja. They don't dare go home to display GEJ's campaign pictures.

One thing that i know for sure in the coming days is going to be some Hausas who are currently pretending to be with GEJ are going to abandon him at the last minute. I suspect Adamu Muazu and Yisa Yuguda to be on the fence. We have interesting three weeks ahead of us.

There is reason why Ohaneze declined to issue their regular endorsement. They are holding their endorsement because they've smelt blood. Normally they don't do that but now they know Buhari has a very bright chance to dislodge Jonny boy from the villa.

Even with all the money, Nigerians have deserted him. The Glory of God has departed from him. Whoever that encouraged Jonathan to embark on this failed journey must really hate him.
