Nimen:Its because of soldiers like them that we are getting the truth, isn't it? I guess you will prefer to live on in your ignorance. The Nigeria Military should wake up to their responsibilities. There is power in the media |

I strongly agree with the soldiers. There is 100% of truth in what they said. I served in the Nigerian army for 8years and 6 months. So speaking from experience, soldiers buy their own kits from the ordinance unit of the army. Sometimes we buy from other soldiers of other countries during joint operations. Soldiers get issued with basic kits like uniforms, belts, berets, boots (1 pair each) once in 3-4 years. We paid for our own medical bills even though we we and our families were supposed to have access to free medical treatments. It is a shame but the truth is bitter. okoro4: |

This is why I am for CHANGE!!! For Christ sake, CNN has been this Government's No.1 Enemy from Inception(from refusing to grant interviews to our president and chopping the money, to systematic biased reporting) yet FG continues to tolerate them! MUST WE BE PRO-WESTERN EVEN THO THEY HATE US? Aljazeera has been more objective in their Reporting about Nigeria, they even reported GEJ's visit to Maiduguri Yesterday! CCTV also dey try! Why not partner with these folks and throw CNN out! Let them source their information from 3rd parties(as many countries have done)! That Soldier should be found and Court-marshialled! Even Civil Servants know they shouldn't be granting Interviews to Local Press how much more Defence issues being discussed with Foreigners! That's SABOTAGE!!! All the Pictures of fighting men I have seen in the NE show them in Ballistic Helmets and Vests!!! Do Boko Haram fighters wear these?? Those saying US embed journalists within their troops, is it foreign journalists they embed or their own journalists? Last Recommendation: DHQ PRD must be overhauled! It is their failure in managing information that created the vacuum Boko Haram and her Sympathizers(CNN) is exploiting! SiriusBlack should have been left alone! Army should have ran 1hour Programs on Prime Time daily to intimate Nigerians on Progress made! NTA or ChannelsTV or Freelance Journalists should have been embedded in some FOBs! Honestly, I prefer Ihejirika to Minimah! |

I don't believ e it. Talk of poor medical facilities and non release of the entire money meant for the treatment. Soldiers don't leave their injured colleague abandoned. The west wants Nigeria back as their puppet. Said no to GMB. Yes to fresher air. Yes to FAILbuhari Yes to GEJ |

kaecy5:Haba! Must you lie How old are you? So you have never seen Afghan soldiers fighting Al Qaeda interviewed on CNN? Some even hiding their faces. Or a Palestine soldier interviewed? This reminds me of when one Lagos tv station decided to make a documentary about the rot and utter decay of the Nigerian Police Force academy center in Lagos. What did your President say immediately? "It is his enemies that want to expose him." If the kitchen is too hot, please get out! Goodluck and his service chiefs have disgraced our military might more than enough! |

Our military has concentrated their efforts on twitter. They are winning on twitter, Boko-haram is winning on ground. Anybody that speak out on the state of our security will be attacked on twitter. I cant blame. The CinC himself has admitted he is a failure. His generation is a failure...We can't continue to celebrate failure. "I know I have failed you". So why are you contesting again ? |

CNN has exposed what our Nigerian journalists...aka Egunje specialists have failed to do. The same CNN and international news Agencies supported Goodluck during his elections...this administration should stop claiming everybody is their enemy and just perform. |

iterator24:Dude, ISIS is made of of nationals from countries all over the world. BH, on the other hand, is a ragtag group. They cannot stand any military formation in combat. It wont take ISIS a month to overpower the Nigerian army. So pls just know dat ISIS and BH are not in the same level. |

okoro4:In fact, I fear for this country. I don't really know what the Americans want from us. They just go out black mailing us and giving misinformation to international communities about our welfare in Nigeria. The last time I read about this is when they said the insurgents are spreading to the west which everyone of us know that it is not true. To me this people are feeding lies to the international communities as a terrorism weaken country in order to aid their campaign for invasion of our dear motherland. I think they really and seriously need their military base here in Nigeria and some mulatoes (Africa born with White brainwashed policies) will think they are helping us. I SMELL INVASION and am crying for our dear motherland because danger is looming over us if not properly addressed in time. GOD BLESS NIGERIA |

okoro4:it is obvious that the American press led by CNN is out to discredit Nigeria in the eyes of the world as much as possible. their recent news of bh taking over the western part of Nigeria is a testimony to that.I think the government should sue them or block them from nigeria's cyberspace. smh |

I watched it on CNN yesterday and the only question I asked myself was, is a soldier allowed to talk to the press about issues like that? Don't get me wrong, I know these people are going through hell protecting this country, (I have a soldier friend on my BBM contact that writes RIP almost everyday), I just feel the two men should not have granted the interview (that is if those men are real soldiers) The way the reporter and the newscaster gave the news sef , I almost started weeping for my dear country. We have been painted so 'black' on the international scene. |

It must be the true situation of things if it is against GEJ but if it was against Buhari, we would have remembered the Jeff Koinange concocted report in 2007 that earned him a sack in 2007 |

hotwax:There is widespread Genocide because the FG has no clear focus on what to do with the insurgency(and that's as a result of denial) We've shouted ourselves hoarse in other Forums on how best to handle this Menace! Why don't we have Pakistanis, Algerians, Egyptians, Sri Lankans etc who have had experience in CT-COIN operations in Terrains that are similar to ours as advisers instead of Israelis? I have been to Maiduguri before and like most Northern Towns, it is characterized by sparsely populated small isolated villages miles away from each other! For an Insurgency that defines victory by the Number of Civilians it kills, why expose more civilians to them? If the NA kills a Million BH guyz, it will hardly make news, but if BH kills 100People in one Village, the whole world knows! So the No.1 thing I expected the Govt to do was to Starve BH of cheap targets during the Campaign! Egypt, Algeria, Sri Lanka, etc all did this!!! Force Residents of Isolated Villages and Hamlets in the Outskirts of Town into more Populated Areas run by Govt were Temporary Shelters are provided, everyone is registered and documented, makeshift schools available for children and a Communal Farm for Adults to plough! Then Fortify such Places, making it virtually Impossible for BH to attack! Essentially creating a Refugee Camp for your citizens and adopting a Scorch Earth policy for your Enemies Then Air Patrol can spot out BH convoys easily and call for Mop Up!!! But No!!! We allowed this People to flee by themselves to Maiduguri, Adamawa, Cameroun, Chad etc Sleeping in the Cold, Begging, Bitter! Haba!!!!! If we cannot defeat BH, we should at least be able to manage the Battle space!!! Everyday, We see New Reasons to believe some people don't want the Insurgency to End!!! |

NA Chiefs please shut up your trap! U people embezzle and corrupt the military. We refuse to accept your defense. You leave the Junior officers on the battle ground to cater for themselves God will judge you all. God does not sleep, He sees all that you do. The politics being played with the lives of our great people and our great Nigeria Defense Forces, God is watching you all. Soon all of you will face judgement! |

I have carefully read all the comments above and it is sad to see what some people post here. This is not about GEJ vs GMB but National security and Nigeria. We all know that America do not like Nigeria and are ready to bring her down bc of Nigeria influence in Africa. Remember how we were treated during the Ebola crisis on the nonsense symap, Obama's visit to Ghana, refusal to sell weapons to us, their inability to do anything meaningful since they came to Nigeria to help on Chibok girls etc. Though, there may be some truth in the broadcast but it has been doctored, edited and sensationalised. Like somebody sensibly said, army uniform are not sold in the market and you will be arrested for trading on it. It is not allowed by law. For some us that have been following this terrorism war, you will recall that, NA has changed military uniform severally when it was discovered that Boko Haram were using army uniform. These they do to identify themselves and for the few pictures released, you will also notice the design and colour are not always the same and are different from NA uniform we are used to. (the type one of the killed terrorist wore in yesterday pictures posted by NA). I served in the North and as the then state president of a group, I toured all the local governments of the state. The war can't be won like that, imagine you drive for about 8 hours within a local government or in a state. The settlements are not together as they scattered across the states. It is not easy having soldiers in all this settlements. More worrisome is the attitude of the brainwashed indegenes who see Boko Haram as fighting for them and Islam. Moreso, there is no identified location or camp called Boko Haram settlement or camp. This is not a regular war. |

Once boko haram captures maiduguri they will capture the whole north why? Because isis fighters from lyibia and other African countries will cone in.then it will become a March into the heart if Nigeria. I tell you mend militants will have nothing on them when they come for the oil Wells. .lol you think it's a joke? Nigeria is blessed now.its no desert like the northern Africa and the middle east. it's lush and fertile plus oil.they will be very happy here.this is for those who think boko haram is a northern problem. It will soon become your problem |

the said soldiers should be identified and charged for treason, no matter what happens soldiers shouldn't come out to international news agencies and say anything without the approval of their leaders. This is why this country is the way it is. Strong head people everywhere doing things the way it seems right to their interests not according to protocols
