There is this three-year old who had a crush on me...
He even called me "my wife"!

He'd tell his mom, right in my presence, that when he becomes older, he'll marry me!
And all the "adults" around would burst into laughter...
Owkay, I really don't have a problem with this..., even though I occasionally wonder what's going on in his tiny head, to make him say those things...
However, I started becoming concerned when the kid started exhibiting some strange behaviour!
Whenever this kid saw me, he would hold my hand, look me deep in the eye, hug me tight and touch my cheeks!
Haaaa! Owkay!
Few days before my trip, I was washing in my compound and the kid ran in..., closely followed by his six-year old sister! They live few blocks away...
"My wife!", he exclaimed breathlessly as he ran towards me...
"Hellooooo..." I smiled at them both.
Before I knew it, he squeezed himself beside me and held my hand, slowing my washing movement...
I had my earpiece on, and I was carried away by the smoothness of Sam Smith's voice...
Then, I felt the tiny hands stroking my arms...
Haha...
I turned to look at him, and he had his eyes half-closed...with a serious look on his face!
I was amazed... I wanted to slap his hands off, but the curious Lily needed to know where his lil' act was leading...
A minute later, his left hand was around my waist and his right on my shoulder...
Then, slowly, quite slowly, he raised his lips and as he was about gumming it to my cheeks or lips (I couldn't be too sure), I smacked his face lightly!
His eye flew open and misted over... He ran to his sister, whispered something to her and ran all the way home...
I didn't even look up from my washing basin, even though I could capture everything around me...
The sister moved nearer to me and whispered, "Let me tell you what Bobo said..."
"He said you slapped him because he wanted to kiss you! That you are no longer his wife! That he just wanted to kiss you and do something with you, so that you can born for him!"

I was still pondering about the bizarreness of the whole situation, thinking that, "How could a 3-year old be so knowledgeable about such things?", when I saw Bobo being led towards me by his mom!
"Haba, our wife!", Bobo's mum started.
"Why did you beat Bobo nah? He's only a kid! Na love he just dey show you nah! No vex, abeg!"
"I'm not angry oooo! Just surprised sha! Who taught him those things?" I asked lightly.
"Sheybi na wetin he dey see inside films..." She said non-challantly.
"Ooooh, I see!"

My reason for sharing this story is to let adults, particularly parents and guardians, recognise their shortcomings and how they've contributed to moral decadence in the society today, especially among children and youths.
Most adults don't screen the movies their children, wards or younger siblings watch!
Some films are rated 18+, yet kids that haven't even entered their teen years will sit glued to the screen, consuming every tiny details...., and practising it outside!
This is wrong!
Kids shouldn't be allowed to watch some movies...
Yea, I know one may stumble on these X-rated movies on TV or even see something similar in reality!
But then, adults should try what they can and also educate these little ones about what they see, that it's not meant to be practised!

I guess you did the right thing miss, parents must take note of all dis basic thins, cus most parents tend to ignore stuffs dat there kids watch and they are not helping them dat way, God will help us all..

If this is true, then the parents/ caretaker of the kid need to be cautioned on what they do either in public in front of their children and in "private" also (the boy can be peeping or eavesdropping)::: But the baby don spoil ooo.

on a more serious note, I think he has an unusually high sex drive. I experienced it too at a very tender age. I was smacked a few times too for bad behaviour n it made me realise that I was doing certain things wrong. it made me smarter as I realised not to do it in public n only to do it with willling young ladies (lol...I guess I'm not so serious).
just beat him well anytime he tries to b dirty. but I'm afraid that won't do much. n talking to him about it won't either cos he's still too young to understand such things.
