Atiku, Kwankwaso, Others Have Abandoned Buhari, Says PDP by lalasticlala(m): 11:24pm On Jan 17, 2015
The Peoples Democratic Party has stated that the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, General Muhammadu Buhari has been abandoned by the party leaders like former vice president Atiku Abubakar and Rabiu Kwankwaso, the governor of Kano state.

In a statement issued by Olisa Metuh, National Publicity Secretary of the Poeples Democratic Party (PDP), in Abuja on Saturday he said the APC had continued to betray their inner aversion towards the candidacy of Buhari.

The statement contended that the APC leadership had abandoned Buhari’s campaigns for the February 14 presidential election. The claim has been denied by the APC.

“Most leaders of the APC do not believe in the personality of Buhari, resulting in flip-flops and double standards that had been the fate of his presidential campaign.

“Key APC leaders as former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, Kano State Gov. Rabiu Kwankwaso and ex-presidential aspirant, Sam Nda-Isaiah have since abandoned Buhari.

“Lagos State Gov. Babatunde Fashola has not hidden his preference for a younger, more educated and articulate President who is able to connect with the current generation of citizens as embodied in President Goodluck Jonathan.”

The statement noted that Governor Fashola betrayed himself recently when he said Jimi Agbaje, PDP Lagos state governorship candidate, who is only 57 years old, was too old to govern Lagos state.

“This is indeed the height of hypocrisy considering the fact that Fashola was on the other hand campaigning for 73-year old Buhari to become the President of Nigeria.”

It recalled that Fashola had earlier said that: “If you put an old man there, he cannot do it. If you call him in the night, he may not pick your calls.”

The statement wondered “who better fits into this picture than Buhari who could not remember the name of his running mate at his campaign rally in Owerri.”

It added that Buhari also nearly fell while trying to climb the stage in Calabar during the ACP rally in Cross River.

“In spite of his later attempt to remedy the situation, deep inside his heart, Fashola harbours an aversion to a Buhari presidency as evidenced in his earlier statements,” the statement said.

It quoted Fashola as having said that: “When 40-year olds are now leading nations and our 40-year olds can’t even get to the Senate, they can’t even become governors.

“We cannot point to success in other countries and refuse to do what those people are doing to get things right.”

This, it said, like many Nigerians put it, was a coded way of saying Buhari was too old to be the President of the Nigeria.

The statement added that the PDP was however, not surprised at the double standard being displayed by APC leaders, describing such as “one of their stocks-in-trade”.

It recalled that the former APC Interim Deputy National Secretary, now Kaduna state governorship candidate and a Buhari supporter, Malam Nasir El-Rufai, had described him as: “perpetually unelectable”.

El-Rufai, it recalled, said he was 25 years old when Buhari was Head of State and wondered why he would not allow younger generation as symbolised in President Goodluck Jonathan, to have a shot at the position.

“El-Rufai had also called on young Nigerians to take their future into their hands and ensure that they voted for a new generation of leaders,” Metuh said in the statement.

To say that PDP have become so useless a party is like stating the obvious

To think that a party which prides itself as the largest in Africa would suddenly start acting so lowly like a Tout just like oLIEsa Metuh n FFK are both doing is the height of glory turned to story

I thought they said they will only engage in clean and issue based campaign? What then is all these tissue-based campaign coming from

The next thing we might probably hear from despicable Jonathanians is that Buhari's Mai-guard has left him

This metuh is mentally challenged.
Buhari does not need atiku or kwankwaso to win the election, rather they are the ones that need him if they are to continue being relevant after feb14.
Last time out if metuh has forgotten, kwankwaso was in PDP,yet buhari won convincingly in kano state.
Buhari must be giving PDP and d metuh's nightmare because they are just throwing everything at him,but funny enough,he has remained focussed on his dedication to rescue Nigeria from locusts like metuh that have populated d political space since 1999 ,so has not bothered replying their endless childish tantrums.

Brethren,
This is a desperate and urgent call from the throne of Grace that the brethren in Christ are about to make the greatest error of their lives by selling off their kingly heritage for a mess of pottage called "change". Change into what? Change into what happened to Egypt , Sudan, Lybia, Algeria and Turkey which were once flourishing Christian countries but because the brethren there also sold their souls on the premise of "it does not matter" they became the last set of Christians in those countries! Remember Turkey! It was the beautiful Christian country called Constantinople! Today it is history! The foundation of the planned islamisation of Nigeria was taken in 1989 in Abuja by OIC. Since then they have not looked back! Our Government gave them a contribution of 21 billion dollars then! Wonder then where the funding of boko Haram is coming from? They have painfully now infiltrated one of the biggest denominations in Nigeria and offered one of their best Pastors -a Professor,a Vice presidential Slot! Now a larger community of that denomination now promotes this "change"! They did it in Constantinople ! Remember brethren, that the biggest denomination of Christians in the North - the EYN has been wiped off! All their churches burnt. You may say that it is the North it can't get here! They said the same thing in Sudan, Libya, Algeria and Constantinople! How come the brethren have become so dulled in the Spirit that they no longer are sensitive?
We may be the last Christians in Nigeria if this grave error the brethren is about to commit is not averted! Our Lord Jesus is greatly miffed by our irresponsibility as His Followers! How come we no longer hear Him! The Great shepherd of the Sheep! How come that Christians have forgotten that this country was made ungovernable by these same people and Christians are holding the wrong person responsible? How come? The signs of the eventual Islamization of Nigeria are awash in the 1999 constitution where Islam, Sharia are mentioned more than 100 times.! Not a single mention of Christ or Christianity! You say it does not matter. Now, mark it you cannot amend the constitution without a bitter progrom!
Brethren, the night is here! We must contend for the faith and our heritage which was handed once and for all to us by our maker!
Don't relent, sound this trumpet by forwarding same to all your contacts! We will not be the last Christians in Nigeria! Amen.

Some of you keep looking for problems where none exists

If you have not noticed it........APC partitioned the Presidential campaign into zonal programs

Each party leader will handle his own zone for effective mobilization and maximum efficiency

Did you notice any SW APC afficionados like Tinubu,Akande,Oyinlola,Aregbesola,Fashola in SE or SS during Buhari's tour of the area? It was deliberately done to give maximum coverage for people who are sons of the soil to shine and handle their own thing hence the reason why Rochas Okorocha,Chris Ngige,Osita Izunaso etc were the recurring faces

The same thing at SW rallies of Ogun and Osun, did you noticed any SE APC juggernauts there?

Notice that during the NC leg of the campaign,Sen Bukola Saraki played prominent role which we didnt see from him in the SE and SS

Atiku is the Campaign arrowhead for NE which his state Adamawa falls in,you will see him take charge there

The same thing with Kwankwaso who is from NW which comprise Kano,Jigawa,Sokoto,Zamfara etc
