Should You Keep Wearing Your Wedding Ring After Your Spouse's Death? by Bede2u(op): 11:34am On Jan 18, 2015
Check this scenerio;
Someone is in his/her late 40s and have just lost the spouse. They had 3 kids together. He/she isn't neccessarily looking to re-marry but won't mind being friends if the right person comes around. Would wearing his/her wedding ring still be out of place?
What if she's a woman in her late 50s; won't it be ackward to have no ring on her finger at that age?
Opinions needed! What would you do if it was youhuh

Well, the death of a spouse does free him/her from the wedding vows. But if one chooses to keep the symbol of her vows, as though even death cannot end it, by all means let her keep it.

Some grieving persons give out or discard the personal effects of their dead loved ones, or even change location, because they cannot stand the rush of emotions it brings. Others hold on to such personal effects, because it makes them feel they are still holding on to a part of their beloved. Same with the wedding ring...

Personal choice.

Oahray wat of in the case of a woman in her late 50s who decides to drop her ring, do u in your opinion think it would make her look wierd? Kinda like she's a sugar mummy? Especially if she's a VIP (but God fearing)?

no, it wouldn't make her weird to me. I usually mind my business in such matters.

Death ends it all
But some peeps thinks it maintains the bond shared between the two couples

Removing the ring signifies moving on
