Petrol Still Sold At 91naira From The Depot? by donshaddow(op): 10:10am On Jan 20, 2015
Please Nairalanders, kindly research to see if its true.

My Sister's friend who has a filling station says he still buys at 91naira from the depot on friday and the government asked them to sell at 87naira which is a great loss to them.

They ought to have reduced the depot price 2weeks prior to the reduction so as to let marketers sell their old stock.

Please anybody who has an idea should please, tell this to the world.

Thanks.

PS:
Mode, I will like this topic to hit front page cos we need contributors so as to unravel this misery.

I'm trying to get a neutral perspective from this.

As a business man, your motive is to make profit. If the policy of increasing and reducing is fair then there shouldn't be any problem.

In south africa, the government only deal with price stabilisation and not wanting the masses to be ripped off.

Prices of petrol is being announced every first week of the month (wednesday). So reflect international oil prices.

So the marketers have ample time to prepare for gain or loss. Unlike Nigeria's case it was just over-night.
