Dear Nigerian, As we approach February 14th, the day of our Presidential elections, it is expedient and auspicious that we remind ourselves again that we stand on the threshold of an election that would rewrite the history of our nation and change for the better or worse, the future of our unborn kids. Yes, we see your active engagement on social media, the huge expectation and infectious optimism that you wear on your brows and your willful willingness to come out and vote for Muhammadu Buhari and Professor Yemi Osinbajo of the All Progressives' Congress, APC; they are all encouraging and exciting. But these alone are not enough. You and I have a more pivotal role to play in ensuring that we get it right this time. I am therefore happy to inform you that as a stakeholder in the CHANGE that is about to sweep our country, your involvement can become more tangible now by funding this campaign with your widow's mite. And we have made it very easy for you to do this regardless of wherever you are in the world. Effective January 20th, you can donate as little as N100 to making Nigeria a better country. You can do this by logging on to our dedicated campaign fundraising site, www.apcgmbpyo.org and use your MasterCard, Verve or Visa Card to donate online. You may also visit any branch of First Bank, Access Bank, GTBank, Zenith and Ecobank and pay with customized tellers into this account: APCGMBPYO. We have also produced a card called ONE CARD which you can purchase wherever recharge cards are sold; scratch the card and dial *979*22*PIN NUMBER#, then, press send to donate. The cards are in N200, N500, N750, N1,000 and N1,500 denominations. For further enquiries, please call Dapo (0805-222-2236), Najua (0802-200-0223) and Femi (0817-451-6679). We have gone to this extent in order to give everybody a sense of belonging and begin the change that we are propagating by democratizing our campaign fund raising. Please get involved in this MOVEMENT OF CHANGE to rescue Nigeria with your donation, no matter how small. May God bless us all and may God bless our dear nation. Governor Babatunde Raji Fashola, SAN Director of Finance Buhari/Osinbajo Campaign. 1 Like |

I love your comment, we are all equal actually. No tribe or region should feel more superior. But good governance is what we are calling for. Good governance is not a function of tribe or region. So, what we should focus on is good governance and not the trivial issues like Tribe, religion, certificate, etc BlackTechnology: |

You are right there but Politics is a game of number and general acceptability. APC's best chance presently is Buhari. Buhari has a track record of anti-corruption regime, his war against indiscipline is a plus, his popularity in the north is wow and the neutrality of the South West may favour him. BlackTechnology: |

Just the same way other states have non-indigenes We are always divided along the line of ethnicity and religion reason for the rejection of such by the "Elites" United States of America is bigger than the whole of Africa yet, ethnicity and religion cannot divide them. BlackTechnology: |

Inequality is not only seen in Politics. it's everywhere around us, in fact, it's a subject topic in Mathematics. That does not make it right though, no race or tribe should feel superior over the others. The more reason we have to include zoning of political posts (especially the post of the president) at federal level in the consitution It should go across the 6 geo-political zones and all political parties must adhere to it when electing their candidates. During Obasanjo and Olu-Falae contest, the atmosphere was calm and kool, During Yar'adua, Buhari and others, the atmosphere was also kool because these people came from the same region. But Pitching one region against another is always not the best...we saw it last election btw Jonathan, Buhari and others, we are seeing the same thing in the coming election already. I will support the inclusion of Zoning in our constitution to curb inequality. To answer your question, I believe in political equity. BlackTechnology: |

Re: Message From Fashola by RedArrow: 2:56pm On Jan 27, 2015 |
South West actually held power more than 8 years, at least Obasanjo did served as Military head of state before doing 2 tenures as president. That's by the way. We all voted for Jonathan in 2011 because we believe in equity. But, he failed to live up to expectation. He has no excuss not to have performed far better than his predecessors. in as much as we are advocating equity and power rotation, I still place greater premium on performance. Performance comes first for me. I care less of who and where this is coming from. BlackTechnology: |
