I bet the most used word today in Nigeria is
BUHARI. It is used by both pro-buharis and
antibuharis. It is either Buhari is the change we
need or Buhari cannot bring the real change. It
is either Febuhari or Failbuhari. The bottom line
is either for, against or neutral you can't help
but mention BUHARI. Imagine me using the
word BUHARI 9times in this short analysis.

Good, they use troops as an intimidation tool against opposition and that must never be allowed again

This means PDP will not be able to intimidate people with the deployment of soldiers to the street as they used to do. A minus for them there

Also, touts and tugs can take over pooling booth form corruption laden and ill equipped police.

my brother you dont know the implication of this..it means there would be no troops on d streets to arrest violence as soon as it starts until it has claimed several lives...God will prevent it sha
Re: Court: No Troops For Elections by Sajio(m): 4:18pm On Jan 30, 2015
Don't call them if eventually violence bust out ooh, the presence of Soldiers will reduce the rate of fighting oooh don't cry!
Re: Court: No Troops For Elections by thunder74(m): 4:39pm On Jan 30, 2015
And if ballot boxes are snatched, people beaten and killed, the same people will blame Jonathan again that he conducted the worst election in the history of Nigeria. So far, all the elections conducted with the deployment of soldiers have been free and fair and so adjudged by people that meant well for the country.
I think the opposition are afraid of something.... time will tell. Moreso, how did this judge ignore the issue of locus standi on the part of the plaintiff? I smell something will all these frivolous judgements...

Military Aid To Civil Authority (MACA).. Under that.. The C-in-C can deploy soldiers to anywhere in Nigeria at anytime in as much as he feels that the NPF cant handle the situation. In 2011, a corps member ran into a police station, the poilce were threatened and they allow silly boys that dont know d value of life and the cost of training someone up to university level to have their way. If deploying all our soldiers on that day will reduce the violence (ofcourse, there must be violence) so be it.. Same people said election must hold in North East but they dont want the miliatry deployed.. I don dey suspect all this law schools for naija.. Na only dem sabi werin dem dey teach.

Say no to rigging, violence and killing of Corp members. A sokoto high court does not have jurisdiction outside sokoto. It is only an Abuja high court that can issue such orders
Is this the best u can spew out? Did u really go to school? Is a Federal High court in Sokoto for Sokoto? Let me enlighten u that State High Courts are still on strike. Wake up ogbeni!
Re: Court: No Troops For Elections by eph12(m): 5:44pm On Jan 30, 2015
Hmmm! Some set of people are rejoicing. GEJ too is smiling. His boys can now rig the election without fear of those guys in khaki. As for me I won't near any polling centre if am not assured of military presence.

the police is weak against a horde of weapon wielding animals crying for blood...only military presence will send any trouble maker running for shelter like a wet puppy. The police were unable to protect corp members in Bauchi, remember?

FGN should wait until a few days to the election and then appeal so that it will drag until after elections. The only reason i feel a little bit safe during election periods is that soldiers are around.

Don't mind all these people here. As if when thugs start breaking their heads and forcing them to vote against their will, they will still not come and spew gibberish here. There is appeal court and supreme. So nothing has changed.

Sorry sir, but it is you that doesn't understand the import of the ruling. Since the judge says soldiers duties should be that of protecting territorial integrity, it would also make sense within that context to withdraw them from all other anti crime operations such as the OPMESA etc.
