D idea is to gradually familiarise kids with witchcraft, makes it appear good n even desirable.

Even as adults, its not wise to watch n read everything. Indiscriminate exposure to filthy literatures for example, familiarises u with sin, deadens your sensitivity to evil n gradually erodes your moral judgement n choice.

He who stays or live too close to d refuse bin, soon forgets about its smell.

I'm not a bible quoting christian, have never been good at it, but I'm sure my friends here can supply me with the scripture that says 'in the end times people will be lovers of themselves and not of God, selfish etc etc.'
Someone said the best trick the devil ever pulled was to convince man that he doesn't exist. He has done a pretty good job of that so much so that when things are happening in favour of evil around us we barely even notice it anymore.

Its easy to recognise wars and murders, rapes and outright violence. Its easy to recognise corruption on a large scale and the downfall of great leaders and economies. The thing that is more dangerous however is the subtle ways we are being 'preached to' into accepting evil and thinking there is nothing wrong with it. I have outlined below a set of things that have slowly and surreptitiously been placed into our daily lives that we don't even realise we are being brainwashed into believing such things are normal when they shouldn't be. By the time they are done when the mark of the beast is introduced and the antichrist announces himself, even christians will accept him whole heartedly.


1. The breaking of the church into denominations. Some people think this was good so as to make the gospel spread farther. I say a house divided on itself cannot stand.

2. Materialism in the church. Constant seeking of miracles instead of salvation, praying for a brand new car this year instead of purity of spirit, praying for your enemies to die instead of praying for them to find salvation. Tithing to make your pastors wealthy instead of tithing to help the people of God that are needy. Seeking positions in church for worldly recognition instead of looking for people who have a genuine thirst for the conversion and reaping of souls for the harvest.

3. The sexual revolution. Sex is suddenly nothing to be 'ashamed of'. Sex was never meant to be something to be ashamed of, but it wasn't meant to be public either. Sex is designed to be a private affair. The private parts are hidden by pubic hair and clothing because they are private. Now the more sexually perverse a person is the more he/she is considered to be exhibiting his/her 'freedom' . Pornography is everywhere, in our books, magazines, the internet, movies, even our kids are being corrupted with lewd images in their 'innocent' cartoons. Have you ever wondered why p0rn is so easily available? Its virtually free to browse and download millions of megabytes of porn movies now, not even clips. So much so that many of us cannot even recognise indecent behaviour when we see it in real life.

4. Cartoons corrupting our kids. This might sound laughable to you but keep an open mind for a moment. Look at the cartoons our children are being shown. Cartoons like 'adventure time' for example. Have you ever watched it? Of course not, you say; its for kids. I advice you to take ten minutes of your time to watch one episode and your will realise it is downright demonic. How about 'the adventures of bill and mandy'? Innocent right? Have you seen the recent episodes? In an episode of SpongeBob squarepants worms are seen coming out of his eyes! What's funny about that?


5. Evil is now good while good is evil.
There are new cartoons now that paint heroes in a bad light. Jack and the beanstalk---jack is now the thief while th giant was a friendly giant. Cinderella was actually full of pride and the evil stepmother was simply 'misunderstood'. Here's one that will touch you Disney watchers...remember frozen? That wonderfully inspirational movie that got every girl crying and chanting for female empowerment? The original story os from 'The snow queen'. And Elsa was no 'misunderstood' ice princess. She was a villain, a queen who would freeze little boys hearts and remove all love from them. 'Hans' represents the boy whose heart was frozen but now suddenly in this movie he is the scheming bad prince. Hmn.

There's a movie where angels are depicted as evil overlords and humans are supposed to rise up against them. Hmnn.

Same example can be seen in maleficient, Dracula untold etc etc. They are making it look like evil must have had a good reason for becoming evil. They are making a case subliminally and people don't even know it.


6. Identification numbers. Yeah, if we really need them why do they keep changing them? We have social security number, credit card numbers, bank account numbers; and now suddenly the idea that the numbers are too many is beginning to spring up. Why not one universal number for banks e.g BVN number? Have you done yours? Why not a number that will identify you uniquely as an individual and will help you transact business, receive medical care on emergency, help you get a job...it sounds reasonable right? I mean, its not as of some illiterate shepherds from 2000 years ago wrote a fairytale book predicting this exact same thing happening as a sign of the end times...any of these beginning to sound familiar?


There are more examples, you can add yours.

When the end comes most of us won't know it because we would be too used to it. For those few who notice the changing times and recognise it for what it really means, there is a question for you: Will You Be Ready?

The worse part of it is that satan deceives every follower of his and is himself deceived. Rev 12:9. Some people on social media are his direct recruits who have sold their souls, others want to joint the popular opinion and say what they don't know about or have verified.

Since God could not save men through their wisdom, He chose to save the world through the foolishness of the gospel. He has destroyed the wisdom of men, for His foolishness is wiser than men (1st Corinthians 1: 18-25)...A WORD IS ENOUGH FOR THE WISE!

I have come to realise on this religious section that some folk just come to insult, nothing more. What did I say that pained you or offended you so much that you said my points are myopic if not just to sha insult me?

Absolutely lovely article. The two most worrisome for me are these ones above. Years back, after watching Billy and Mandy, my elder sister turned to me and said, "Ishi, do you realise that Grim is the spirit of death"? It suddenly dawned on me that this cartoon is depicting death as something 'fun'. Death can be tamed and turned into your playmate, as 'Grim' The Grim Reaper is portrayed in the program.

The cartoon is dark humour anyway, but I find it very inappropriate for kids. I belong to the Voltron/G-Force generation, where cartoons were cartoons, not these horrid, demonic Japanese manga crap they're spewing these days. (Ironically Voltron is also a japanese cartoon)

What of Courage the Cowardly Dog?

I always thought the cartoons were funny,but deep down I always felt a bit uneasy about the dark themes and subject matter. And it's getting worse each year that passes. For Billy and Mandy...hm, that cartoon is down right demonic.

As for good now evil and vice versa...oh boy, tell me about it! I watched Dracula Untold last week and although the movie is very entertaining, it left me uneasy and puzzled. What is their purpose for this movie? Why are they romanticising evil?? Anyone can google Vlad the Impaler, one of the princes of Transylvania (who Bram Stoker based the character on) and see how absolutely evil and disgusting this fellow was. The movie painted Vlad in a more romantic light, and at the end you find yourself sympathising with Dracula. Gross.

What of Vampire Diaries and Twilight? Since when did it become 'cool' to be a blood sucking demon? How is it possible to be in a romantic relationship with the 'undead'?? There's no such thing as a 'good' vampire, period!! It's this kind of twisted analogy that is making today's generation lack the fear of God.

There's another movie which I can remember the name. I think Legion or something. Rebellion is praised and God is depicted as wicked deity who does not have the interest of man at heart. An angel rebels against God and Arch Angel Michael is portrayed as an evil warrior angel who will kill everything that stops him from killing a certain lady in the movie. At the end God rewards the rebellious angel by giving him back his angelic powers despite his rebellion.

If I recall, rebellion and pride is what got Lucifer kicked out God's presence.

It's now okay to be rebellious and disobedient, right?

All throughout the movie my spirit was disturbed as I watched, and immediately it ended I deleted it from my list forever. These days I'm always afraid of watching foreign music videos because one can never be sure of what one is watching, not with all these demonic symbols they keep flashing at us. Nigerian music videos are not better, because although we don't have to deal with demonic symbology, lyrics and contents is ZERO. Trash. They're dumbing us down.

What is happening here is man is being sub-consciously programmed to be receptive to the changing ideals of immorality, rebellion and wickedness, and they're doing quite a fine job of it with all these brain washing programmes we're exposed to.

Most people that does not indulge in Christianity or its practice tend to live longer,than those that sees it as a part and parcel of their life..

I don't listen to such craps like things or those connected to it..

The most annoying and foolish thing is that,I don't know if the moderators and others in charge have the mental thinking faculty that not everybody here on nairaland practise religion..

Before posting something or moving it to fp..
People needs to sit down and think,don't because it suites your way of life then use the rubbish to rub everyone face..

Self bondage...The mental and physiological think that there is a mighty force or God in control of your life...

Well, cartoons are created basically to expand the imagination of kids. Aside from that, kids that watch lots of cartoons tend to speak English more fluently than kids who don't because most cartoons are featured in English and even as an adult you can learn some new words. Personally, I've gained a lot of knowledge from watching cartoons such as pinky and the brain, dexter's lab, spiderman etc. I have a friend who once came across the same equation he saw in pinky and the brain in his SAT exams. I really don't get why Nigerians always want to condemn cartoons as evil. Its plain silly to me. No offence

What christians don't understand is that the world is never going to end. Your world ends when you die.
