Abuja - An unspecified number of terrorists have been killed in an attempt to capture a strategic village, Tungushe, in Konduga local government area of the Borno State. This publication established the terrorists regrouped and launched an attack on Tungushe, the town located several kilometres from Maiduguri, the capital. The village has a strong military presence because it is barely the last point before entrance into Maiduguri. According to a security source, the insurgents who lost during the early morning invasion of Maiduguri on Sunday, attempted to regroup and launched a devastating attack on Tungushe. The security source added the insurgents met their match when soldiers stationed at the village routed them with the assistance of a company of youth vigilantes. “Many Boko Haram insurgents were again killed in Tungushe village of Konduga local government area of Borno State when the terrorists attempted to invade the village with the intention of sacking about 1 000 soldiers stationed in the area,’ he said. A member of the youth vigilante group, Adamu Ibrahim, revealed that the insurgents engaged the military in a gun battle, throwing explosives and rocket propelled grenades (RPGs) but were successfully repelled by the soldiers resulting into the death of “hundreds” of terrorists. “A lot of insurgents’ corpses littered the streets and bushes of the village. The terrorists were seriously dealt with,” Ibrahim said. The army has in recent weeks repelled Boko Haram insurgents from taking over Maiduguri, the capital of the state worst hit by terror. http://m.news24.com/nigeria/National/News/Hundreds-of-terrorists-killed-in-Konduga-20150202 |

I wonder if Nigerian Army has nukes in it's arsenal, I'd love for them to drop one there and hopefully flatten the whole northeast of Nigeria after all they are of no use to the rest of Nigeria. |
