Enough have been said already about this....before you take any silly action find out first if your father in law paid with his private insurance. If your wife did not accept Medicare then your father inlaw paid with his private insurance.

Let's move on please pages have been taken on this issue alone

NB: a friends wife sent this to me however she had her son 3 years ago. Also, she has a family member who works there so do your research.
Conroe regional hospital. Natural birth was $2000, epidural was about $845.
I paid an extra $300 for two days because he didn't pee till the second day he was born.
Doctor's office was $1300.
But basically, we should have spent about $5000 total, inclusive of scans, blood work, other things

Hello House,

There is this hospital in California which I came across. It's relatively cheap. Centinela Hospital Medical Center. It has got maternity package, vaginal = $3K and c/s = $5K for 1day and 3days stay at the hospital (all inclusive).
Any Mom who have used this hospital before and if yes, how can you rate their services? And the prices same as listed?

He will need to apply for a new visa, so fill the form, pay, appt etc...
No exceptions. USA doesnt replace visas, only new apps.

Just want to share text from US embassy upon my enquiry of bringing baby without US passport. I am thinking hard to share my exact truthful story with them.
"
Your child shall be national and citizen of the United States at birth if he was born in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof. Section 215 of the Immigration and Nationality Act (8 U.S.C. 1185) states that “Except as otherwise provided by the President and subject to such limitations and exceptions as the President may authorize and prescribe, it shall be unlawful for any citizen of the United States to depart from or enter, or attempt to depart from or enter, the United States unless he bears a valid United States passport.”



Therefore, your son should be in possession of a valid US passport to travel outside the U.S.

Tickets on British airways has come down, tickets I saw for roughly 1800 is now 1500 (I am buying multi city, it may be a bit higher than normal). And this is for travel dates In February.Just thought I should share.

There's a thread for Immigrant Visa issues where a US embassy VO can answer all these questions and tell you what you want to hear. I suggest you move there and start bombarding them with these questions, we're tired abeg!

Firstly, Travel to whichever state that your wife is, get all the details of her medical bills,seek expert opinion as regards the insurance. If eventually you need to pay back, develop a payment plan to offset the bills. if your inlaws are willing to assist on this, pls swallow your pride and show appreciation.
Secondly,The issue between you and your wife can be sorted out. After clearing all the medical issue,take your wife for a weekend and try iron out your differences. You guyz need to make some sacrifices. Remember whatever you guyz decide will affect the innocent child positively or negatively. And if u cannot resolve it amongst yourself, pls seek counselling. But please leave both in-laws out of it.

@bernghos,dats d hospital dat mamatobenna's intends to use.I spoke to Dr Mbagwu yesterday and he sounded very confident,3k is just d hospital fee not inclusive of doctor's fee.

wao.... i just read favoured b story and then Zeezahbee response. the truth is after Zeezahbee sent that comment, i knew she misunderstood...and then favoured b still went to explain what she meant.....This whole story would have just ended by Zeezahbee saying "Sorry, i thought you were refering to the people on the forum". this is the step to take so you can be able to get a new visa
1. report to the police and get a detailed reporT

2. email the embassy about the lost passport and visa

Be sure to include your full name, date of birth, place of birth, address in the United States, and an e-mail address (if available). Specifically state whether the visa was lost or stolen. If you have a copy of the passport or visa, scan and email this to the embassy or consulate. Otherwise, if known, report the category of visa, and the passport number from the lost/stolen visa.

3.Applying for a Replacement U.S. Visa
Lost or stolen U.S. visas cannot be replaced in the United States. For replacement of a visa, you must apply in person at a U.S. Embassy. When applying for the replacement of a visa, you will need to provide a written account documenting the loss of your passport and visa. Include a copy of the police repORT

NOTE: ONCE YOU email the embassy, the visa becomes invalid for future travel to the USA.
