Projects along or around the bolded precisely... Just incase u by any chance pass through those places.. I would love to see pictures...thanks in advance

Ibeto bought Nigercem but the people of Ebonyi State and their government frustrated him out.

I don't know of Niger Steel, where is it located??
I believe it was G.U.O. Okeke that bought over ANAMCO, unless he resold it.

So within the next 15 years, we would have:
Eko Atlantic City (250,000 residents)
Centenary City (FCT, 150,000 residents) and
Enugu Lifestyle City.

I foresee a mass migration of Nigerian diasporans in the near future to these cities. The facilities found in London, NY, Dubai etc would be in these futuristic Naija cities.

Under the Government of the previous President, Maj. Gen. Mohammed Buhari, many Christian schools were taken over by the state, and permits to build churches were held up while the construction of mosques was stepped up:

Nkanu East LGA is an abandoned territory. Sullivan Chime scored a big fat zero in this local government. I will like anyone to challenge me with facts. For reasons best known to Enugu state government, maybe a political problem but there was no project, none whatsoever carried out in Nkanu East till today. We also thank him for ignoring us.

A failed and broken bridge is at Nkerefi, the road from Nara through Mburubu to Nomeh Unateze has never been tarred from the time God created this world. No water provision or any presence of any political office holder there. From Amankanu to Oruku, Owo, Idodo, Ekpof, Ubahu, all totally forgotten. We are not even begging them anymore, we are tired of begging and appealing. A day will come when ................ whats the need of ranting. A day will come. cool
It is really bad, under Chimaroke Nkanu East was not in his agenda and Chime came in still nothing to show for us.. I am from Ubahu and I don't need to start talking about what we are passing through due to bad roads.

I am not from the east of Nkanu but as an Nkanu man, I feel so much for you guys. I remember a guy's narrative of what he goes through before he gets to his village which is why he finds it difficult visiting home very often from US.

I wish Ugwuanyi will remember you guys this time around. The electricity in my village was given to us by Emeka Omerua. The 2 governors from Nkanu did not do any single thing for my village, but God has always used governors from other places to help us. Sullivan did marvelously well for my village too.

Who's responsible for funding these larger than life estates in Enugu? It can't possibly the Enugu state government.

It's the governments responsibility to create a conducive environment for such projects.

Enugu: Ugwuanyi, Ayogu-Eze Lay Claim to PDP Ticket

04 Feb 2015

By Tobi Soniyi in Abuja

The Abuja Division of the Federal High Court has fixed April 2 to ‎decide who is the authentic governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Enugu State.

Justice Evoh Chukwu adjourned for judgment on a day two PDP gubernatorial aspirants ‎in the state, Senator Ayogu Eze ‎and Mr. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi‎, ‎insisted ‎that they were the duly elected candidates to fly the governorship‎ flag of ‎th‎e party.

Both of them told the court that they emerged from parallel primary elections they said were monitored by officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.

Whereas Ayogu Eze argued through his lawyer, Mr. Yusuf ‎Ali, SAN, Ugwuanyi addressed the court through his own lawyer, Mr. Patrick Ikwueto, SAN.

It will be recalled that though it was Ayogu Eze that lodged the substantive suit before the court, Ugwuanyi who is currently enjoying the support of the national leadership of the PDP, subsequently applied and was joined as an interested party in the matter.

Other defendants in the suit by Ayogu Eze are the PDP, its National Chairman, Mr. Adamu Mu'azu and INEC.

Meanwhile, all the defendants yesterday urged the court to dismiss the suit for want of merit.

Arguing through its lawyer Dr. Onyechi Ikpeazu, SAN, PDP and its Chairman challenged the jurisdiction of the court to entertain the suit which they said was within the purview of a domestic affair of a political party.

The 1st and 2nd defendants told the court that the plaintiff emerged through a kangaroo primary election which they said was not certified by the National Working Committee, NWC, of the party.

Ikpeazu argued that under section 87 of the Electoral ‎Act, only primary election sanctioned by the NWC of the party could be deemed valid.

Nigeria's population is projected at 250 million in the next 8 year . so where are those 249.88 million going to live?
i do not foresee any mass migration of diaspora back To Nigeria. there are many other factors which are more appealing in the diaspora especially white nations . including weather ,atmosphere and overall mentality ,etc. I think west and central africa wil always be a third world.
I have a very keen insight and i believe southern and eastern and northern africa have a better chance at first world status.
it's not just about building roads and skyscrapers. the roads and stadium and library built in uyo will decay in 8 years ,and there'll longer be oil money . below is manila with skyscrapers . it's all about mentality.
Wow! That's a massive number of people. But I believe cooperation between the FG and the states to set up public mortgage schemes would greatly help many more Nigerians afford decent housing.
Of course, not all diasporans would live in the 3 cities, some could live in the present cities, if those cities have undergone extensive development.

You're right about the mentality aspect. If the regular payment of civil servants' salaries is applauded as an 'achievement', it means the society still has a LONG way to go.

Two projects which could potentially attract Nigerian diasporans, specifically medical professionals, are the proposed 1,600 bed Abuja medical city and the 20th Anniversary hospital in Uyo. These world-class tertiary health centers would likely be positioned to cater mostly for affluent Nigerians and some other foreigners. In other words, medical tourism could be the main goal. Countries such as Thailand, India, Singapore etc are the main centers for this type of tourism.

A hospital in Thailand rakes in around $500 million annually due to the fact that most of its clientele are middle to upper class foreigners, and some wealthy locals. $500 million is over N90bn. The two hospitals, if properly marketed, could each rake in billions of Naira annually. Americans could even receive medical care in them because the cost will cheaper than what obtains in the US. Here in the US, an operation which costs $4,000, could cost around $400 in India or Thailand.
