Madam, you are mixing events.
1. Patricia Etteh became Speaker in 2007. Masari didn't return to the house in 2007.
2. Yaradua was the President not Obasanjo.
3. There was NO setup, she FRAUDULENTLY appropriated N624 million just to renovate the residence of her residence and that of her Deputy.
4. Integrity Group in the house led the call for her to resign. She only resigned to avoid impeachment.
5. Eminent Nigerians including Soyinka, Gani and co called for her to step down.

Nothing like setup... She was Guilty but Bankole refused to revisit the case.

My Dear I remember. You know there is something called "soft landing" in PDP. They always look for a way to give their corrupt members less disgrace. For instance, the EFCC Chairman publicly indicted Fabian Osuji, Adolphus Wabara and other Senators. Obasanjo rather than use the same EFCC to prosecute both men, he only fired Wabara and the mumu case kept dragging in court until Jonathan inherited it and also flip flop to give them illegitimate victory. Bankole was equally a thief, he is today walking a free man. So is Farouk Lawan that was shouting for the fall of Etteh, you see how he was exposed? ALL of them are thieves, but na who them catch. I doubt her defection adds much in terms of real votes to the APC.

However, when negative PDP news like this is splashed across morning newspapers, they help to consolidate in people's mind the feeling that the PDP is a sinking ship.


Also, many undecided voters may take a cue from the 'appearance' of inevitability of a Buhari victory to make up their minds and vote Buhari.

I am waiting eagerly for Feb 14th! All I want is for Deziani to be arrested, put in the back of a rickety Police Toyota pick - up and photographed weeping profusely.

My focus is no longer on GEJ leaving. For me, it's all about this arrogant woman and the N10 Billion she spent on private jets in one year, and then refusing to honour the invitation of the House of Rep. to explain her reckless spending. The thought of that woman makes me so furious.

I'm really not comfortable with the influx of these past corrupt public office holders into the APC.

When the PDP came up with the strategy of including ''more women in governance'' just to get more votes, Etteh amongst others were the examples I used to dissuade many ppl around me from buying their bullcrap.

I guess I'm just worried about what those I succeeded in convincing will think now. I hope Deziani is not planning to defect as well.

However, a change in party is needful @ this time to send a shockwave message across all Political platforms whether APC or PDP that power belongs to the ppl.

If you say people to mean the masses, then I must say in no time and place in the history of man has power ever belonged to the people. Power belongs to the few that can influence and control the minds of the people effectively. Every political revolution in human history have been orchestrated and directed by just a few minds, most of the poor people that do the ground fighting usually do not understand in full the true essence of the fight, and often do not get to benefit from it. This is human history here. So, power may seem to belong to the people but in truth it does not.

As the small steering wheel of a large ship turns it where ever it pleases, so does this few direct the masses where ever they please.
