In the post, Ben Witherington digs
up the following ‘proof’ of Goliath’s
existence, from the 25 May 1993 copy of
The Weekly World News, a publication
which claims to be “The World’s Only
Reliable Newspaper”:

The Weekly World News , for those of you
who haven’t encountered it, is famous
for stories about Elvis sightings, aliens,
human-bat hybrids, and various
supernatural beings…not to mention the
odd Giant. It seems the story was later
picked up and published as though it
were a genuine archaeological discovery
in The Kingdom Times (Belfast; May
1994), a publication of the British
Israelites. BW3 was having wee joke
with us, you see.
Here is the story from inside the Weekly
World News (but how did Goliath’s skull
get back to the Valley of Elah from
Jerusalem?):

I wonder about the identities of the
unnamed “top Bible scholars” who
confirmed the story. Could it be
that the Weekly World News article was,
in fact, the first joint publication
from Provan, Long and Longman?

maybe. Autopsy wasn't a thing then.

If you read your bible you will realise David cut off his head and took it to the Israelites.
So the stone was never removed from his head.

There is a trend in Christians and the way the take the Word of God and the Bible.. It is not a Story Book of Fables and Tales. If you believe in the Holy Bible and its historical veracity, why not take time to cross-reference it with actual historical evidence no matter how small. you cannot believe in Faith when you already have the book in your hands.

I agree with you...it says in the bible that david took Goliath's sword and cut off his (Goliath) head with it, and brought back the head to israel like you said.

So its ok to agree that Goliath's head and body were buried seperately.
