Major Reason Why I Won't For GEJ by ayukdaboss(m): 8:26pm On Feb 04, 2015
For a man who claimed he "once had no shoes" and gave Nigerians the impression that he came from a poor background, many Nigerians accepted Goodluck in 2011 because they thought that finally a "masses-friendly" President had surfaced.

Goodluck really deceived us with eye-service displays and pitiful statements then that sometimes when I listened to him, I held back tears. In my mind I was like "this is the Messiah".

For a man who based his election on pity from the masses, many were expecting a selfless President who would put his people first before thinking of enriching and comforting himself but alas we were really wrong.

There are very many attrocities of Goodluck but this is one of the worst. Share this assessment with me:

GEJ feeds on 1 billion naira per day.

Lets do this simple calculation:

365 days x 27 years = 9855 days

1,000,000,000 naira/ 9855 days = 101,000 (approx.)

Let me make this calculation clear....The money GEJ (I once had no shoes) feeds on for just one year can feed you for 27 YEARS if you spend 100,000 (One Hundred Thousand Naira Per Day). Shame!

It can feed you for 50 YEARS if you spend 54,000 naira per day. Shame!

How can a President who claims he "once had no shoes" be so selfish and wicked?

GEJ is a really selfish man who considers enriching himself above the masses. For this particular reason, I. can never support him.

@ Firefire, it's no longer an opinion, it's now a fact and reality. If GEJ committed all these atrocities knowing he would have to face Nigerians in 2015 elections, what's the guarantee that he wouldn't tear us to shreds in the next 4 years. I think we should put sentiments aside and do what we won't regret by this time next year.
I voted for him in 2011 and did my own share of personal but vigorous campaign to ensure that my fellow 'SouthSouth brother' will become President and open the doors for the minority in Naija.
But not only did he disgrace us, he has also made sure that people will never have faith in leadership by the southsouth.
To make matters worse: He didn't even take care of his own south-south states and Bayelsans would prefer to vote for anyone else but Jonathan.
It really is a shame and sad. But if we don't vote him out, Jonathan will ruin us. He is the worst type of dictator and leader a developing country can have.

What Transformation?? Your imagined transformation? It isn't really a coincidence that the normal man/woman on the street is highly dissatisfied with this government. February is just days away...there's no need raising emphasis on "GEJ Till 2019" like you all are programmed to do.

I see.

But cutting-off the head is never the drug for headache.

The evil gathering and conspiracy shall not stand.

Recheck your position, see the voice(s) of reason and vote Jonathan again.

I wish you well and enough.

Shalom!

I'll rather you come up with the feeding budget (with proof) of those men afterall you're on the defence as usual and I'll condemn them if their feeding budget is unreasonable.. It's quite pathetic that you as part of the masses find fulfillment in defending every shortcoming of the present government. Don't you feel they're answerable to us?

Like i told somebody today who was defending Sambo's recent careless statements, "I'm sure even if Goodluck comes out publicly tomorrow to declare that he's a fool, some of you will still defend him and give him reasons why you think he isn't one. "

That is the problem some of you have. You sit at the comfort of your homes fantisizing on perceived transformation being felt only by you grin

Try going out, interact with people, then you'd realise the high percentage of people who are highly disappointed with this government.

@ firefire, if u have a headache caused by too much alcohol (for instance), won't it be wise to stop drinking? Won't it be foolishness to continue consuming the very cause of your headaches and gives silly excuses for doing so.
No more sentiments...GEJ and his cohorts need to go and rest.
He has failed this exam and needs to taake back seat now. There's no point forcing a dead horse to walk.

Thanks for the compliments sir,
But I only hit the comfort of my home after the days toil of striving to make ends meet.
However way you look at it, unless you're in denial, the transformation agenda is in progress and can do best wtout interruption.
Peace!

Why not ask the APC governors who you so blindly support to be as transparent as GEJ so that they can be criticised too.
Before embarking on a criticism spree of GEJ for his government's feeding budget, you should have taken some time to find out that of those you support and praise everyday, if you tried to find out and couldn't see anything then it should be a sign that something is not right, that is if you aren't a hypocrite.
You cannot say you dislike GEJ because of his (government's) feeding budget, yet support Fashola without knowing his own feeding budget.
Doesn't make sense.

This was scrutinised approved by the NASS, it was higher under previous administrations, infact the budget for food is reduced under GEJ.

I'm not surprised if Lagos is ranked the most corrupt state in Nigeria. Using its population as reference as well as the number of operations carried out daily, it is going to be unreasonable for anyone to exempt Lagos State from corruption.

Did the report state which sectors they carried out their surveys at?
