feelamong:It's only someone that doesn't have a father or that doesn't know his father, that would have the guts to refer to the elderly in this manner. If indeed you have a father, even him, can't stand before these men and speak but here you are insulting them.In our culture, the old are respected and celebrated and on no account should you ever refer to these men in this manner.I |

harryfish:I received same few days ago. The youngman addresed me by my names and asked if they (APC) can bank on my vote for GMB but I told him his candidate is not qualified according to law. He tried more to convince me of why Buhari is the best candidate but I refused to budge. He then asked if I have my voters card, I told him I have (though I haven't) so he asked again if am sure I do have the card. At that point it occured to me he's either with my card, he's aware I haven't collect it or he's got my personal details via INEC officials. To me APC is just a bunch of desperados for power at any cost. |

How many Nigerians are registered on Nairaland? Just a little above a million, how many Nigerians are registered to vote about 70 Million. Wht I don't understand is why most Nairalanders are delusional. Don't come here and throw insults at each other, make careless remarks, without recourse to your safety and thAt of your Family. Not everyone on Nairaland is sane, humane or transparent. There are some very bad people, hit men, fraudsters and the likes on this forum. So be more careful, whoever will win this Election, certainly will emerge. We can only hope and pray for the most suitable and desirable. Be careful and watch your back! |

soroptimist:Which South are they talking about? For those of us in Yorubaland, there is no South. North, West, Mid-west and East are all we have, and everybody know where they belong. Elections will hold in the West, cos the Yorubas are ready to vote, ditto for the North and possibly some part of the Mid-west. If the Easterners and a part of the Mid-west(Ijaw) decides not to vote, that's their problem, cos they don't even have the numbers to make the elections invalid. For Senator Onijekuje Akotileta Femi Okurounmu, boy boy to Clark, an Ijaw. The Yorubas don't do follow-follow, he's on his own. Where Falae and Odumakin? When the Hausa, the so called Abokis, were busy collecting their PVCs, we including myself, were too busy pursuing money, and the reality is now staring us in the face, the next thing for some Senile and semi-senile old men( not statesmen) blaming Prof. Jega and threatening Fire and brimstones. The average Abokis goes around with his transistor Radio listening to his local station, Hausa services of BBC and VOA, while we are busy watching Nollywood and Hollywood movies in the evenings, after pursuing money all day long. Bunch of losers. |

farem:Please stop spreading lies! Maku is a die hard GEJ fan forver! His campaign team has since come out to call this the fantasy of APC! Statement below! MAKU CONDEMNS STORIES ON SOCIAL MEDIA CLAIMING HE SAID PRESIDENT JONATHAN IS THE SPONSOR OF BOKO HARAM!- It's a lie from the pit of hell! It has come to the notice of the Maku Campaign Organisation that a false and mischievous report is on circulation in the social media purporting that the #APGA governorship candidate for #Nasarawa State in the February election, Mr. Labaran Maku said that President Goodluck is the sponsor behind Boko Haram. This story is obviously a lie from the pit of hell and was planted by the enemies of President Jonathan and Mr. Maku' s detractors. The main objective of this fabrication is to cause mischief, disaffection and confusion. Mr. Maku's position has always been that the eruption of terrorism in the North is not the creation of President Goodluck Jonathan and the Federal Government of #Nigeria, but from the violent mix of religion and politics in some states in the North mainly controlled by the opposition APC which has left many parts of the Northern region in turmoil. The spread of hate ideology is mainly responsible for terrorism and for the spread of violence. It is disgusting that some actors have tried to use the violence in the north to malign Mr. President for cheap political ends. President Jonathan cannot and should not be blamed for the violence in the North, rather he should be commended for his effort in bringing the violence under control. The North must look inward for solutions to the problem of violence in the region. For the avoidance of doubt, let us restate that Mr. Labaran Maku has never said that President Goodluck Jonathan is the sponsor of Boko haram! This story and its mischievous source are lies from the pit of hell because Mr. Maku has and will continue to be an ardent supporter of President Jonathan and his transformation agenda. The victory of Mr. Maku on the platform of APGA in the upcoming election is certain because he stands far and above all the contestants in terms of leadership attributes and the broad-based support required to rescue Nasarawa State from the brinks and return it to the path of peace, unity and sustainable development. We call on our teeming supporters to disregard the lies and vote for Mr. Maku and President Goodluck Jonathan at the upcoming elections!
