APC have connived with INEC to rig the elections. This is a good decision from the army.APC have continue to insist on the Feb 14 date having favoured by INEC in the distribution of voters cards. If actually they are up to the tast, change of date won't be a problem to them, but they know that their shaddy deal with INEC will be exposed that's why they have continued to insist on the Feb.14 date.Elections in Nigeria have been holding between Match and April since 1999,why the hurry.Let INEC distribute all the voters cards to all eligible voters so that no one will be disenfrachised and whoever wins the elections knows that he merits it.APC stop crying foul.INEC should be given time to prepare.

Ask any military personnel the military needs only 24 hours to "Detail Duty" for any assignment. Election is suppose to be in 168 hours. The Nigerian Armed forces has shown the are acting a script written and directed by you know Who.

When gej noticed dat things seem not to go in his favour. E now looks for way to gain more time to execute some other tactless strategies. I dont think election like this as ever been postpone in nig. Changing d date he chose shows how clueless he has being.

Does this postponement give any advantage to GEJ?

Is it that everyone that has not collected their PVC's are expected to vote for GEJ!

Will people who are hell bent on voting Buhari change their minds if the elections are shifted.

If the reason for postponement is for the army to concentrate on boko haram, is there an assurance that we will see the end of the group in 6wks time or less.

Will the postponement make undecided voters decide?

Just a few questions!

Mr Jonathan ain't clueless after all. He is a manipulative man filled with sinister intentions for this country. First, he fended off everybody with an intention to run against him, in his party and emerged as their consensus candidate; then DSS started acting his scripts; then the IGP; then the military authorities, when they started embarrassing GMB and now a threat that they would not provide security should the elections go on.
Anyways, didn't the ruling in Sokoto declare that soldiers should not be deployed for the purpose of elections? I am actually waiting for the police and civil defence to issue their warning of non-availability should elections take place next week.
Yes, they will soon claim dat evn the the police are fighting in sambissa

How is it logical since;
The unrest is restricted to a specific region,
It was never an issue during the gubernatorial election conducted in ekiti and osun despite,
It's not an issue despite the commander himself using around a thousand officers for his campaign train
First personally It would be cool if we can get over with it, in regards to this election ... Many things are currently in a limbo right now.

In as much as I know its is a political decision... I say it is logical because.

1. First ekiti and osun are special cases. They were just one state each, compared to this scenario where they have to maintain peace in over 34 states.
2. The military is currently enjoying successive wins over the insurgents thanks to the ongoing coalition... it would be bad timing to divert their focus to maintain peace in over 34 states. It would spread them thin both in manpower and resources.
3. It would be injustice and un progressiveness to deny the 4 states under the attack of boko-haram their right to vote. It is no news that APC and her goons have once insinuated that the reason boko haram have to been contained is because GEJ is behind it. that he wants to deny those states the opportunity to vote. This move from the presidency counteracts that sinister insinuation.
4. Him using a thousand officers for his campaign train is out of the question. The security of the commander in chief of the armed forces is a top priority.

Finally postponement or not will not add or subtract any benefit to both sides.

Thats called bluff....arrant nonsense.
Is it not an anomaly that the military are providing security for elections. Their constitutional duty is to maintain the territorial integrity of Nigeria which they are trying to do now (we appreciate it) and not to provide security for elections. This is a clear sign that the military are beginning to overstep their boundaries.
Security for elections is the work of NSCDC and NPF.
Fighting of boko haram within the states is also the responsibility of NPF and NSCDC. Have you forgotten that too? Has there ever been an election in this country without the Nigerian army providing security? Hahahahaha, e dey pain me ohhh.

This is totally disgusting. I hate this guy more with every decision he makes.
If the election is held on February 14nth, will Buhaha be sworn in before may 29nth?(in his wildest dream) If it is held 6weeks from now, won't Buhaha be sworn in on may 29nth(in his wildest dream). Why can't we prepare for a credible election if APC is so sure of winning? Before now, they said GEJ brought the election to February so that if he looses(God forbid) he will have the time to scatter Nigeria. Now he has said postpone, you guyz are still scared. The same way debate was organized, they said the body was not credible that they prefer Chanells or Nlc and latter they still won't come. Which kind woman party be dis werr the quarell for every decision GEJ mek na. Una neva c anytn, Una go cry for the next four year ma sef.

We have always provided everything for ourselves including the security since we have no government.

We are ready to elect a government on Feb 14.

I am really sad and angry as I type this message.

Nigerians made a mistake by electing jonathan into that office. The grudges of the civil war won't let this country move forwwward because the ibos won't just forgive and forget. The postponement of the elections will destabilise this country and the ibos just want out of Nigeria because they are perpetually sad and hateful of the hausas and yorubas that's why they are pushing jonathan to scuttle our hard earned democracy.

I am a yoruba christian and I am boiling at the thought of election postponement now imagine what an hausa muslim will be feeling. If the North goes into a bloody riot and starts killing southerners now,we would all call them terrorists but we as humans should always think of hw our actions affect others especially if we are on the receiving end.

Muhammedu Buhari has been cheated 3 times already and you want to cheat him the 4th time? Is that fair? Is that what Jesus Christ teaches us as Christians? (Am referring to the ibos here because this government is their government)

If and when trouble starts, the ibos should not be heard screaming pogrom or genocide oooo. All well meaning Nigerians should rise up and condemn in the strongest term the attempt by Jonathan and his PDP minions to truncate our fledging democracy.

In conclusion,I really pity the ibos in all these because the anti ibo sentiment in the North and West is already high and any action or inaction of this administration as it relates to this election will be avenged on the ibos through both violent and non violent means.

I am really tired of the Nigerian situation because we can't move forward as a nation when a section of the country wants to secede at all costs.I would suggest that the ibos and the South South be let go to put an end to all these Ethnic and religious tensions.
