The only part of the story when I got misty eyed for him was when he talked about missing his mom's burial. But even then, if he did anything to legitimately get himself in trouble with the law, he would be largely to blame for that.

At 22, if I married I would have been divorced. Funny thing is that is when Nigerian men rush these girls. And she probably felt pressure to be what she is not as a pastor's wife. With the way this man is so judgmental of her village and town I can only imagine how judge mental he was of her. And by the way, when you are the bread winner in an extended family, your famy members will do your bidding. Typical Nigerian parent behavior. As she is the one probably taking care of a lot of family responsibilities. No one will call her to order if she messes up.
