Why are most Nigerian polytechnic don't have Doctors and Professors as lecturers? And even the ones that have are always their Rector.

I asked a similar question from my brother and sister who are both lecturers in college of education and who are also running their PhD presently why such happens, I was made to understand that some of the polytechnic don't give them the necessary support (financially) to further more on like universities, and even can't afford to pay their salaries, they said immediately they get their PhD, they would find their way into the university.

Please is that true?

I happened to be a product of two different polytechnic before going to the university for my PGD and I have many friends in different polytechnic, I go there and the ones I can't go I call friends to ask sir

majority of the ones have been don't have at all except their rector who is either Professor or Doctor
