If at all you want to change the INEC Chief (which is inviting trouble on its own), you don't replace him with a relative of an ardent supporter, it will only bring about chaos.

Mr President yesterday sued for peace b4, during and after d Elections, so he shouldn't be one taking steps that might set the already fragile nation on fire.

We should watch our utterances and actions henceforth.

Say NO to VIOLENCE and embrace PEACE.

Goodluck Ebele Jonathan is the man that God has blessed with Wisdom. He that puts his trust in God shall mount on wings like an eagle. Now the most important job in Nigeria and in Africa has landed on the laps of the Yoruba. This job at INEC is bigger than Speaker of the House that Tambuwal stole.
Every good thing comed to those who patiently wait.

a lot of people here dont really know about the processes of replacing INEC chaiman.
the president cannot just wake up and announce a person of his choice.

senate and rep have to sit n screen him and approve him etc etc.

U are very naive about d game plan between APC and Jega.

Why is d non availability of voters card rampant in south than north? I know a friend that has been frustrated out by inec, his card is no where to b found, He did the last registration yet no show.

Jega has a plan with Thiefnubuu.

That's Why apc is so confident of winning, they have been assured by jega.
There was problem with the pvc in both North and south. The system is not perfect or do you think its easy to distribute 68 million PVC without experiencing problems. Was it not our own southern politicians that stole 14 thousands PVC from INEC office in Rivers state.

Even if you were the INEC chairman, many people would still not be able to collect their pvc. Jega has done a good job so far. We should all support him in conducting a free and fair election rather than always criticizing him

Shame on Jega.

How on earth can he insist to go ahead with an election when you failed to distribute 30 million out of 68 million PVCs? is it not outright robbery to disenfranchise almost 45% registered voters?

Just on 4th Feb, the last 15 million PVCs where flown in and yet Jega insisted to hold an election 10 days after without leaving enough collection time because he thought the odds favour Buhari?

How come the embattled NE have more PVCs distributed than the SS? Jega has to explain.

Why the choice to hand over northern PVCs to the emirs and sultans than the LG INEC officers like its done in the south? Jega has to explain the double standard

His alliance to the northern agenda is obvious and he showed his cards too early.

Even when INEC failed outrightly on PVC distribution and it qualifies for date extension, Jega stayed silent on that subject and blamed only the security program on the joint AU forces in the NE.

This is a good riddance to absolute rubbish. This is victory for democracy.
In 2011 inec registered 70m voters, only 38m voters card were collected, yet get allowed jega to conduct d election without complains, and he won.
In 2015,The Independent National
Electoral Commission, INEC, has
said that the number of
registered voters that have
collected their Permanent Voter
Cards, PVCs, amounts to
45,098,876.
This figure represents 66 percent
of the 68,833,476 registered
voters......so who IS DECIEVING WHO?........

so try straighten up it crooked and lopsided knowledge.

How will you blame Jega? Is it Jega's fault people refused to collect their PVC? Don't we Nigerians know we like to leave everything to the last minute? Many state government even gave holidays to ensure they collect. Don't blame Jega for your stupidity and lackadaisical attitude

Allohrandy:
I didn't experience any difficulty collecting my pvc in PH tho because I collected my PVC early. Some people just like fire brigade approach and wait for the last days to collect their pvc. Its going to be hard collecting your pvc if you wait till the last mins. The truth is that it seems people here in the south have a lower voters apathy than the northerners. Most people I know don't even plan on voting.
nothing like fire brigade approach..When people go there, they will tell you that your PVC is not yet ready, that they are producing it batch by batch, blablabla..how do you reconcile that? Even during registration, millions couldn't register because few registration centers...one registration center alone had like 10,000 people who want to register and highest they register per day was 100...Jega is not telling us the truth..

http://thenationonlineng.net/new/82-die-as-suicide-bomber-hits-buharis-convoy/

The unfortunate event, clearly an assassination
attempt , came from a fast moving vehicle that made
many attempts to overtake my security car , but was
blocked by the escort vehicle . We reached the market
area of Kawo where he took advantage of our slowing
down and attempted to ram into my car . He instantly
detonated the bomb , which destroyed all the three
cars in our convoy. Unfortunately , when I came out of
my vehicle , I saw bodies littered around …
Twin bomb explosions in Kaduna , the headquarters of the
old northern Nigeria killed scores of people yesterday .
Former Head of State General Muhamadu Buhari, whose
convoy seemed to have been the target of the second
explosion , escaped unhurt .
The Gen . who on Sunday warned President Goodluck
Jonathan on the state of the nation , said it was an
assassination attempt, a “ clearly targeted bomb attack ” .
The first explosion was on Alkali by Isa Kaita Road , where
a suspected suicide bomber on a motorcycle , who is
believed to be trailing a famous Islamic scholar , Sheik
Dahiru Bauchi , detonated the bomb .
Kaduna Police Commissioner Umar Shehu said 25 people
died in the first blast but eyewitnesses said about 32 died .
About two hours later, another explosion rocked Kawo
market , close to the popular Kawo flyover . The police chief
said 14 people were killed , but a Red Cross official told
Reuters that over 50 people died in that explosion .
Shehu said preliminary investigation revealed that the
suspected suicide bomber might have targeted Sheikh
Bauchi , who had just completed the annual grand finale of
his Ramadan Tafsir ( lecture) at the Murtala Square .
The bombers struck at about 12 . 45 pm while large crowds
of Sheikh Bauchi’ s followers , were just departing the venue
of the Tafsir .
The cleric was driving through the area in an open -roof
vehicle , greeting well -wishers , when he was targeted .
Followers of the renowned cleric reacted angrily , throwing
stones at the security forces and accusing them of failing
to protect Nigerians. The security forces retaliated by
firing tear gas .
The angry supporters of the Sheikh wept profusely when
they saw the huge casualty of the explosion .
