I'll take it you're joking. He had a nigerian father and that makes him a Nigerian? Is he a citizen of Nigeria? Was he born in Nigeria? Does he have a Nigerian passport? Has he ever lived in Nigeria? (Even if he has lived there, it's not enough to say he is Nigerian).
He used his full name "Kevin Olusola". Which name he suppose use? Your papa name?
Kim K is known to be Armenian? By who? undecided

You're the joker here, happy to argue for the sake of it. He was born of a Nigerian father. What part of that don't you understand?? Sheesh

His surname, parentage says it all but like some unenlightened ones out there, you'd rather blind and deafen yourself. He was born of a Nigerian father. I don't even have to know where his mother was from. This makes him of NIGERIAN ORIGIN whether he's American by situation and birth. In conclusion: Of Nigerian Origin=============Nigerian. F U C K !!!!

Facepalm! Forget it, this is pointless.

I am not saying that he is not of Nigerian descent. That he is of nigerian descent doesn't mean he is Nigerian. It's like trying to categorize each Americans by stating their European or Hispanic, African or Asian ancestry. Dude is American. He is the real definition of African-American.
He is American. Deal with it.

If his father is a Yoruba, then he is Yoruba, the dude even retained his Yoruba surname, a clear sign of his pride in his origin. America is but a land of migrants, the aborigines had long been almost wiped off and subjugated.

If he did something bad now, the whites would be quick to remind the world of his Yoruba roots.

Congrats to Kevin Olusola. But what's going on with Nairaland?!!!!

This has clearly been revealed as false information - Sade Adu won. Seal won. Etc

Yet it's on the FRONT PAGE!!!

What's going on with Naiaraland??!!

Seun. Honest caution. You are destroying your brand and all you have worked for. Please be guided.

He is American. Deal with it.

You can face palm yourself to infinity. YOU totally missed your own freaking point. I never said he WASN'T an American. I only said he is straight up Nigerian and you wanted to have a seizure. Come to think of it, he's barely even first generation American, since his father just came into the US just before Kevin was born. So Kevin barely got that badge of being known as "American".

I hate it when people come here acting like we're 'claiming' him when he doesn't even know the color of the Nigerian flag etc. That is disrespectful to Kevin. For all you know, he proudly reps his Nigerian roots (since basically his father was born HERE and even finished MEDICAL SCHOOL in Nigeria. Show me where Kevin has ever denied his Nigerian roots, then I'll believe you.

I still stand on the point that when I'm describing Kevin I'm going to keep saying he's NIGERIAN because he definitely IS. Just as Tinie Tempah is Nigerian. And many others out there who weren't born in Nigeria but are known as "Nigerian' by virtue of their roots/origins/heritage. It's part of who Kevin is and nothing you say, and no matter the American passport he owns, can take away that pedigree. So piss off, you're f u c k i n g irritating and high handed with ur b u l l s h i t.

And by the way, Kim K is proudly Armenian. Because her FATHER was originally from Armenia. It's a widely known fact that the Kardiashians rep their Armenian roots even though the are born and bred Americans. Don't come on here thinking you're smarter than anyone else. You definitely need a facepalm through the face for that.
