Ten Things you’ll find in the handbag of a Female Bank Marketer

This list may not be exhaustive, but yet basic. However, you have to be smart and observant to notice some of these. Feel free to criticise and trash this write-up if it doesn’t appeal to you. Also, do not be offended in anyway if you are a banker, especially a female, I wrote this not to spite but just to start your day. Enjoy!

1. Account Opening Package
Most of these people have an Account opening package handy so they don’t start running from pillar to post when a prospects eventually gives them the green light. Some who want to impress these customers promise them speed of account opening. So, once you say ‘yes’ to them, the account opening starts there and then.

2. Other People’s Cheques
Most times, these Bankers have cheques that do not belong to them, though some may be written in their favour. These cheques belong to customers most times. Some of the chqs are from prospective customers to open new accounts, Some of the chqs are to be paid into the customers’ existing accounts, some are for them to withdraw cash and deliver to the customer, some are post-dated chqs from customers or colleagues whom they lent money to, and some are cheques issued to them by their benefactors, just to withdraw and ‘chop’ the money. Lol.

3. Cash
We know what cash is used for. Some of these moneys are the converts and replacements of the chqs mentioned in 2 above, while others are for fresh transactions, or to foot expensive outings if all gimmicks to milk some man fails. It may also be for shopping somewhere.

4. People’s Passport Photographs
Mostly, these passports are for account opening, or other data-gathering related activities as required of the customers by the banks

5. Utility Bills
These are mostly for account opening. Either Electricity bills, or House rent receipts, or letters of introduction from employer, or associations chairmen etc.

6. Means of Identification
This is either for account opening or account re-activation, or any other official business as required. So, you’ll see things like International passport, driving licence, Permanent voters card, or association ID cards, etc, mostly their photocopies with ‘original copy sighted by me’ written somewhere.

7. Gift items
Sometimes you’ll see a gift item, if it’s small enough to enter the bag. Some of these gifts are for either customers or prospects, or their boyfriends, or for people who’ll give them access to a wealthy customer. It could be something like a wrist-watch or a perfume.

8. Perfume
The ladies would always want to smell fresh. Sometimes, before they enter to see a customer or a prospect, they’ll do some puff-puff inside the car before they step out.

9. Make-up Kit
These ladies would always want to look good, for their spouses, and for their customers. They have the expensive make-ups in town. They sometimes apply different make-ups for different customers. If they want to go and visit, say the president, they would wear a very expensive make-up, and wear the less expensive one when they want to see you, if you are not so …. Once when I saw a not-so-beautiful one, mehn, she was looking very beautiful. And when other females engaged her, she confessed she just bought the one they had told her about. She said she never used it at home. She washes her face before going home- her husband would skin her alive if he knew she invested that much on make-up. Women!

10. This one actually is for the promiscuous ones. Some take both male and female condom along, for those who care much about protecting themselves. Cases abound of where some of them got pregnant for customers. Some of them actually dirty the waters for their male counterparts. Some of those big men use them like they use them, use and drop. Some of them call them by their bank names, and have them in most of the banks. You know what I mean here.
