I find it rather funny that from your above definition u don't know that stealing and corruption are two different things......Now a small exercise for;
1.He "stole" millions of naira from the state treasury account.
2. He is a "corrupt" business man.
Now inter-change the two words in quotation mark in both sentence....
The truth is,am so disappointed with both of our so called presidential candidates that instead of them telling us what they can do for and how they intend doing it or maybe what they have done....,they result in cheap propaganda and blackmail to the extent they do this rubbish on air at their special stations#smh# And the worst of all,the younth who claimed to be leader of tomorrow and joining our leader to destroy our future because of their ignorance,low level of reasoning,greed,selfishness,poor judges of character,laziness and all sort.My question is if we destroy our tomorrow by the actions of our today,what do we have left to lead. Pls let us be reasonable with our judgement and don't be carried away by the lies and propaganda of leaders. Let them focus on what they can do for us and how they intend doing,they maybe we can decide on who to give our votes.

Welcome oooo! English teacher, i don't want to insult anybody but i guess you didn't read my comment properly. How can you steal without being dishonest!? Being corrupt means you are in a way doing something illegal, by the definition of stealing it says
'taking another's person property' money meant infrastructure development that politicians divert into their private
accounts are they not over 170m Nigerians property!?. The point you failed to understand and the clueless one failed to point out is, there is no way you commit one the offence (stealing or corruption) without directly or indirectly committing other one. Do not let the clueless one confused you, no leader in world would say on national Tv that stealing is not corruption no matter what the English definition is.

I have always been of the opinion that the only time the president makes sense is when his lips are sealed. His explanation on the reason why he said stealing is not corruption is bereft of intellect and has only worsened his case.

he says and I quote ''We have made more convictions in this period than before. But I always say that the answer is not convicting more people. We must make sure that they don’t steal. Do not put the money where they can steal it. That is what we are doing.”

How on earth can a president say the answer is not convicting thieves huh

how else do you stop others from stealing if you do not convict the ones that have been caught? As much as the president's cluelessness baffles me, I am seriously more troubled by Nigerians who do not see anything wrong with this present administration and are clamoring for its continuity. Surely Nigerians are brilliant and intelligent and we definitely can do better than this. Also we may have to wait till eternity for the president's list of those who have been convicted. Perhaps he meant to say the thieves that have been pardoned.

Why not leave semantics? Corruption and stealing, even if we agree they aren't the same, could a president of a country like Nigeria afford to make such statement? And stealing is a form of corruption, there are other forms of corruption, yes, but to insist and keep insisting that stealing is not corruption is standing logic on its head. Go after them, either they are corrupt or them be thieves, just do your own leave semantics for the lawyers!
