Setaje:u are right, I myself luv gospel songs that are danceable. In the book of Samuel the bible says that King David danced almost unclad to the Lord, which I believe the song he danced to then was kind of different from the usual songs they sing to the Lord then. I concur to ur view on this. |

Fabolous360:"Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers" ok sir, u have raised a very good point but I wanna ax u about d Bible verse u quoted....from ur analogy, it evidently goes to show dat in everytin u do, u must check d background of d person behind it....if u wanna buy food stuff, make sure d seller is born again, d fone ur using, hope u got it from a born again brother, or before u go for any lectures make sure d lecturer is a born again...d list can go on n on. Now in ma humble opinion, some songs are very bad yeah, but there are still good songs out there. If someone sings about peace n it motivates others, is dat wrong? Or like I axed someone here, wud u tell ur 3yr old child to stop singing nusery ryhmes cos its worldly? Gods grace is what wud save us ooo. ![]() |

I axed so singing d national anthem or school anthem or nusery ryhmes are all wrong in God's site bdat? Some songs are bad no doubt but wen u condemn all, I begin to wonder ooo...my thoughts though |

Setaje:its ur choice, I only spoke because u said u need danceable gospel songs. I too dnt understand Igbo, so u get it clear but I enjoy d song because its of God. He uses Yoruba too and i dnt understand yoruba as well. if u have listened to them and u think they are not good enough then I wonder what u want. dnt u understand "I made it" or "big things agwan"? are u sure u have listened to them? I know dancers dat play dem so u have no excuse. but well, its ur choice. thank u. Peace. |

tuncy:Please please please do not judge me. This worldly songs have nothing on me. If it doesn't appeal to you fine. So since ur mind has comprehended it better, what is your achievement? Has it been able to ward of other temptations in your life? How do u ward then off? This is why I don't like arguing wiv a lot of u Christians who assume because someone doesn't follow a particular order he is not of God. Do u no my relationship wiv God. |

EOOJ:Thank you. I have this other beautiful song by Mali music. They also have very nice christian songs. This particular song is titled beautiful. Its a song that encourages u to believe in yourself. Am happy listening to it because it reminds me that I am not alone in my struggles. The song is like a song for strong women who should not give up. Its bout everyday life. But according to some people it doesn't glorify God so it's useless. Its funny how all the people that quoted me did not explain how they cope wiv other temptations. I deal wiv greater temptations that worldly music seem like a child's play beside it. This same God gave us a sound mind. They judge not taking into cognisance human differences. If u listen to worldly music and it makes u backslide. Stop it. Worldly music does nothing to me because I don't put my mind on it. It could just also be a bad thought going through my mind. But what right does anybody have to say because I listen to worldly music, that means I am not close to God. How does anybody know my personal relationship wiv God. It is also true what u hear, see and read might have an impact on u. But I believe those things will begin to have an impact the moment u dwell or get fixated on it. |

patrickdarlins:gospel songs are meant to be used to worship God. When we worship Him, He shows up. His presence becomes obvious. When you encounter His presence, you get transformed. we are not subjected to live after the flesh but after the Spirit. pls tell me how Olamide songs or banky W songs can worship God. |

80% of the lyrics dished out from tv and radio stations are embellish in obsenity, only listen to those lyrics that add value, minister to your inner man-please associate only with that which makes an impact in your life.Remain blessed. |

Any song that does not impact you positively but negatively, makes you do evil rather than good. there are songs you listen to and you just want to drink, have sex, get wild etc. A wise man said "a man remains wat he is and wer he is except for 4tins wat u c, wat you hear, d books you read and the friends you kip. so you knw a good song by its lyrics and its impact on you. music glorify three set of persons, man(entertainment),God, and satan. worship songs, inspirational or motivational songs (man) and worldly or call it devilish songs-you can identify them by their lyric and impact on you. Remember wat u hear has the capacity to change you. so hear right so you can think right and say right so as to live right. |

profem1:U have made a good point my brother but I wanna ax ooo...why is it dat weneva we talk about worldly songs, minds go straight to dem olamide n ko. Its alryt but den what if somone sings a song of awarenes(probably a peace song or about a certain disaese) wud u say God is gonna condemn such a song Or nursery ryhmes sung by our kids E.g d state n capital song abi na mary had a little lamb Cos all dis are worldly songs too. Please let's b realistic abeg. Some worldly songs are bad, no doubt, but not all. U kan still listen to some n still worship God in spirit n truth. My opinion sha ![]() |

manydgreat:What goes into a man does not defile him, what comes out of him does. The spirit of the prophet is subject to the prophet. With the state of christianity today, blaming it on worldly songs will not stand when God is questioning you why you saw evil and called it good. |
