Sanusi's early Extremist youth as a member of the Muslim Students Society by Nobody: 8:38pm On Feb 15, 2015 |
Sanusi attended the Ahmadu Bello University between the years 1977 till 1981. Sanusi Lamido was an active member of the Muslim Student's Society during his days as an undergraduate in the university of Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. In 1979, the MSS will stage violent protests on campus grounds demanding from members ofthe national Assembly to “stop opposition to Sharia or take full responsibility for putting the entire nation in chaos”. At this time Sanusi was an exco member of the group. |

The MSS will stage violent attacks on Keggites on campus which later escalated to the group burning the VC campus lodgings and some school buildings before seeking sanctuary from security forces in a mosque. This is your hero. 1 Like |

See pages 202 and 203 of this documents which detail the attack carried by MSS on Kegite members on campus. http://wikileaks.org/gifiles/attach/10/10138_The%20Maitatsine%20Risings%20in%20Nigeria%20-%201980-1985.pdf You will also see a brief 1979 security dossier report on the group after the skirmish where the group is described as "not having any beliefs in the National Constituion; does not recognize the authority and existence of the federal govt and abhor the sale and consumption of alcohol on campuses where they exist". The report goes on to state that the group "hold a firm belief of the ultimate attainment of an Islamic state in the country; through an Iranian styled revolution" . 1 Like |

Sanusi's radicalization began early on campus. This is what groups like the Muslim Student's Society exist for. This is exactly how most of the early senior members of Boko Haram and luitenants to Mohammed Yusuf became radicalized. In my book, if it looks like a duck, walks like a duck and quakes like a duck chances are it is a farking quacking duck. WombRaiders: 1 Like |

The MSM will also launch an indiscriminate attack on fellow christian students all because a christian student was on the verge of emerging as the Ahmadu Bello Student Union chairman. Ironically, one of the excuses given for the attack was that the Christian candidate campaigned on the slogan "a vote for Stephen is a vote for Christ". This was all bullshit of course. 1 Like |

Sanusi, His Majesty, Emir of Kano, despite his human frailties, has remained consistent and has achieved almost everything he sets his mind on . His success in life depends much more than the impression of a religious bigot.Frankly,I would love to read his autobiography. He seems to carry a lot of luck, excellence and sense of dedication to duty as credits even his opponents, may not deny him. |

leksbore: The bombing was meant to trigger wide spread sectarian violence. From Sunday up till that fateful Friday, there were several suicide bombings across northern Nigeria almost on a daily basis. The case of a mob supposedly disarming an alleged suicide bomber and then lynching him to death in Gombe was particularly suspicious. There was also the allegation of the lynching of two southerners in a motor park by an irate mob who descended on them after an alleged suicide blast. Their plan failed because the security men did use deadly force to disperse the crowd. This is not the first time Sanusi has been implicated in triggering sectarian riots. I just pity the people of Kano. They have shaitan on the throne. 1 Like 1 Share |

Long after GEJ has left office, decades after Nigeria's disintegration, well into their Islamic statehood in the north one thing I am very sure and can guarantee with all certainty is that Islamic fundamentalism and violence will still plague the north. The monster has been unleashed and can not be put back into it's genie bottle. |
