It is unfortunate that a former president will behave like a chimpanzee in a zoo, tearing his membership card in the full glare of the whole world. No any amount of provocation should warrant that. Time for a new broom at the head of PDP so to speak? Chairman Muazu was meant to be the great reconciller. Either they are not listening to him....or PDP is so utterly utterly divided....and we are heading for APC taking over the PDP role. Either way.....PDP is in some trouble without OBJ. While there's no doubt that Jonathan has really dissappointed Nigerians, I believe Chief Obasanjo's utterances have been too vitriolic and have heated up the polity incessantly. As an elder statesman and former president, you should exercise restraint and desist from statements capable of raising the country's political temperature at this critical point in our history. I feel the ota based ex-president should emulate an exemplary ex-military ruler like Abdulsalam Abubakar in conduct and composure. As a christain, instead of making explosive statements against the president, he should keep praying for him and the nation. My sincere advice for baba is that he should give more prominence to how he will make Heaven when he passes on, and minimize his obsession with the affairs of the transient world. |

jamace:Drama is an essential part of politics. Obj just being dramatic. Anyway....I blame PDP top brass for not keeping OBJ happy. GEJ was able to win in 2011 partly because of the reconciliation done between 2007-09.(because in the run up to the 2007 election....PDP was looking like it would break up.). Make no mistake....PDP better worry about OBJ leaving. Or indeed any member leaving. |
