I must be missing something with all these comments....Bomb Blasts now evoke jokes and idle banter with Nigerians? The inner soul of the average Nigerian has been hardened and desensitized.

While I salute his courage and professionalism, I don't subscribe to anyone putting his life on the line in the name of reporting news event in this country. Thank God he is a hero today, but what would have happened if things went ugly. Given that they don't have security escort/details, I think you should have just packed his camera and move to a safe area. Channels has already lost a reporter to this kind of madness and I certainly don't want to join them in morning another brave/fine reporter. One of his colleagues was actually stabbed and receiving treatment in an undisclosed hospital. It was a close one, but thank God no live was lost - their safety is more important to me (and I am sure to John Momoh) than the news.
