All in all, Jonathan will emerge victorious. This is the simple political arithmetics:

GEJ will win the SE/SS/MB. buhari will win heavily in the NW as usual; Kaduna is going to be hot and divided 50-50 between Kaduna north & south. besides, Jonathan's VP is from Kaduna and the sitting Governor is PDP too. Lamido of Jigawa will do all he can to gather some Jigawa votes for Jonathan. The NE will not be too impressive because of the ding dung battles between boko haram and the MNTF; losing ground and recapturing it tomorrow. embarassed embarassed

The APC soldiers on nairaland are fighting a lost battle. I pity them because they will know the real definition of frustration after the elections. cheesy cheesy cheesy

Goodluck Jonathan will remain Nigeria's president come next month! cool
I pity ur condition

See them behaving like unruly children, are these the so called senators shocked chai

Jega is making a lot of sense. Each card reader will be configured to a polling unit meaning if u take a card to a polling unit that is not yours the card reader will reject it, that will prevent multiple voting

If this is allow politicians from all divides are finish especially those representing my constituency. This will reconfirm that power belongs to the people.

The card reader is good and will curb rigging if PVC is distributed to all that registered.
A member of our church just left my office now that they could not find his PVC and observed that this happened to mostly Igbo as about 75% of people given in his presence were Yorubas.
If you looked at the distribution chat as published by Punch today, you will observe that some states in the north has over 90% collection while Ogun State has just 40% distribution.
If inec could step up the distribution, then card reader all the way but if not, the election is rigged already in favour of whoever the North supports.

Many have endorsed GEJ and many will still do so.

Last election people supported GMB only to go to the polling unit and thumb printed beside the umbrella. Am still getting more confirmation that such is about to happen again.

Jega just do your work with transparency.

I support GEJ till 2019.................

THE WAY THE CARD READER WORK

According to Jega, there is an embedded chip in the card. The card reader will read the chip and not the information on the plastic we are carrying about. The card reader will then send the information on the chip of the card to the screen including the details and passport of the bearer. The observers and the party agents will definitely confirm the identity of the bearer. Then the bearer will then be required to thumb print to further verify the identity. If the fingerprint matches the one in the chip, the card reader will beep SUCCESSFUL.

Secondly, the card reader will now transmit the information of the bearer to the backend server through a GSM network. If there is no network in the polling unit, immediately they get to the collation centre, the data will be transmitted.

It takes a average of 30 seconds to verify the voter. The accreditation period is between 8am and 12 pm. 4 hours. The card reader is configured to work during this period. That means that the reader will only be able to accredit less than 500 voters. In my unit we have more than 1000 registered voters. So what will happen to the rest ? . I hope this will not lead to a breakdown of law and order
