Senators should not look for ways to reject the card readers but rather look for ways to improve the usage. Some processes might take long, still if it takes 5 days for everyone to vote then we shall be using 5 frigging days. No wayowayo..

5days to vote? won't it encourage wayo? The card reader is a good idea, but whether it will work or not should have been tested and proven since last year or even 2013.

Over 90 percent..not (only)
The (only) was added by me because 90% is a very low number. It's not acceptable for up to 10% of the electorate to be disenfranchised.

On politicians buying PVC, he said it is useless because it wont be verified by the card reader

It takes a average of 30 seconds to verify the voter. The accreditation period is between 8am and 12 pm. 4 hours. The card reader is configured to work during this period. That means that the reader will only be able to accredit less than 500 voters. In my unit we have more than 1000 registered voters. So what will happen to the rest ? . I hope this will not lead to a breakdown of law and order
no it won't, another 'voting point ' would created within the same voting centre which is to be manned by the APO, ... So in short you'll have 2 card readers

he is answering question on whether voting & accreditation can take place at the same time. He said even though it is inconvenient for people, it helps in reducing multiple voting where people vote in one polling unit & leave for another. I quite agree

I thought he said with the card reader multiple voting will not be possible.

We need to put some factors into consideration. Like the IDPs and delay in network. Though 5 days is not visible. 2 days is ok.

EUROBOMBER:
All in all, Jonathan will emerge victorious. This is the simple political arithmetics:

GEJ will win the SE/SS/MB. buhari will win heavily in the NW as usual; Kaduna is going to be hot and divided 50-50 between Kaduna north & south. besides, Jonathan's VP is from Kaduna and the sitting Governor is PDP too. Lamido of Jigawa will do all he can to gather some Jigawa votes for Jonathan. Votes from the SW will be split and GEJ will get a reasonable size of the votes from there. The NE will not be too impressive because of the ding dung battles between boko haram and the MNTF; losing ground and recapturing it tomorrow. embarassed embarassed

The APC soldiers on nairaland are fighting a lost battle. I pity them because they will know the real definition of frustration after the elections. cheesy cheesy cheesy

Goodluck Jonathan will remain Nigeria's president come next month! cool

you are on weed. which kaduna will be 50 50, just wake up from your sleep. pray that GEJ has 25% in kaduna.

State-by-state PVC collection statistics from INEC. The highest are Nasarawa (96%), Gombe (95%), Katsina (92%), Kaduna (91%), Zamfara (90%), while the lowest are Ogun (40%), FCT (61%), Lagos (62%), Edo (64.3%), Oyo (64.9%).

Continue deceiving yourself and your paymaster. GEJ cannot win the MB. Let me break down the middle belt for you and the result.

Niger: GMB 70%
Kwara: GMB 60%
Nassarawa: GMB 60%
Benue: GEJ 60%
Plateau: GEJ 55%
Kogi: GMB 55%

Final result for the North Central zone (middle belt)

GMB 60%
GEJ 40%

Q. Are there any court cases that can delay the elections?

Q: Can you vote without permanent voter's card?
A: No, it's not possible. Presentation of permanent voter's card is a requirement for accreditation.

Q: Should we allow TVC?
A: There are over 4 million people who did multiple voting last time. Those people have TVCs. If TVCs are accepted, they will show up at elections and cause confusion when they prevent their invalid TVCs. This happened in Anambra. "Only people with PVCs would be able to vote"
