During training of ad-hoc staff; we were told to spot and select only those students with a statistical background as APO's 1 and 2. Reasons being that they'll be the ones to handle to computation of their respective polling unit results!
Note:the bolded implies the student also has knowledge of computer science

Naaa, the card reader can be hacked too... Apparently the PVC has a chip inside, and with politicians buying it, are they not planning to hack into the technology of the PVC and the card reader.

whether this card reader works or not should have been proven since last year. There are loopholes everywhere.

Now that the average PVC collection is 75% and above and the card readers are confirm ok, can we now be rest assurred that election will hold on March 28 and April 11 as earlier reschelduled, considering the fact that the Military is certain to secure the NE before the date?

All the explanations of Jega today, show that he actually knows what is doing.
I must say that Jega has really made me happy with the way he trashed questions thrown at him from some PDP gullible senators.

Indeed, this man has a PHD and can prove it to the world. The way he answer questions differs from the "Goat and Yam" thesis of some other persons grin

Jega is creating a bizarre scene with this response to Akume's question
He said as for INEC they are absolutely ready but for other factors like security, he cant speak for them. Does that Security Chiefs can still force him to postpone. I think he should be more definite

All in all, Jonathan will emerge victorious. This is the simple political arithmetics:

GEJ will win the SE/SS/MB. buhari will win heavily in the NW as usual; Kaduna is going to be hot and divided 50-50 between Kaduna north & south. besides, Jonathan's VP is from Kaduna and the sitting Governor is PDP too. Lamido of Jigawa will do all he can to gather some Jigawa votes for Jonathan. Votes from the SW will be split and GEJ will get a reasonable size of the votes from there. The NE will not be too impressive because of the ding dung battles between boko haram and the MNTF; losing ground and recapturing it tomorrow. embarassed embarassed

The APC soldiers on nairaland are fighting a lost battle. I pity them because they will know the real definition of frustration after the elections. cheesy cheesy cheesy

Goodluck Jonathan will remain Nigeria's president come next month! cool
And long serving president in history........dat what obj don't want

Jega shouldn't stop @telling us the advantages of this machine but also it's possible disadvantage.. we don't want a situation where the card reader will shutdown pending on its usage.... how durable it is, can it work effectively thru out the day?.. I remembered how my Tecno phone got spoiled via long talk on phone. twas very hot and before I know it went off and that was the end of that phone.. I would prefer they test run it b4 using it in the election.. we don't want to hear any story ooh

The (only) was added by me because 90% is a very low number. It's not acceptable for up to 10% of the electorate to be disenfranchised.

During the Obama/Romney elections, there were irregularities in some polling units. Some machines malfunctioned such that, you press Obama and Romney is recorded. This is a country with tested processes.

That is the problem with technology, there will be malfunction. At the end of the day, there is greater chance of a more credible elections with card readers than without.

But to be human, should dat be a question for the INEC chairman, considering the fact that INEC can't guaranty safety of electorates. The NA should summon The NSA lets hear from Dem too.

Any unit with more than 750 registered persons will be further divided and two polling teams will be sent, alongside two card readers.

I am not watching it now but I believe that it will make a lot of sense since I have heard many INEC officials explaining how it will work. They likely to announce each unit from polling boot, then ward and local government and so on not like total collection in one place that will always lead to rigging.
We should thank pdp government for giving us this platform. At least we will have opportunities to test fair and credible elections for the first time.
Why now are they afraid to use what they thought will give us the best election so far. We should go on and support jega and INEC and see how things turn out. Say no to temporary voters card. Say no to rigging.

That is the spirit of sportmanship, but if your part looses, I hope you will not change ur dance step!

I think JEGA is giving out too much information on this election and voting process, in such a way that one can now easily determine how to ultimately rig the elections successfully.
