Working as a student to sponsor yourself in school in Canada especially in expensive British Colombia is not easy at all. This is not for Pikin, not for even average student in academic, it is for smart student. Though, studying here is so easy for we that will went to public university in Nigeria, when you will have to walk many kilometers for you to see functioning cyber café to do home work or research. we have high level of information technology here to our advantage in school. Not everybody come from rich family who can sponsor them in expensive schools in Canada. some of us has to work in order to pay our tuition fee which is not easy. I will say, it is easy for me to do that because I already know that nobody will send money to me. I make $3000 upward in a month and have little bills to pay because I know I did not come here to live large for now but after study, I know I will live large. Although my people, I must confess, it is not easy combining school with work. I don't have social life. Just studying, working and church activities. For those that are thinking, can I work to pay my tuition fee? I will say yes but you must sacrifice many things to achieve that. God bless us all.
God bless you 2 brother.

when I saw my other people expenses in Canada per month, I now know that I am careful with my spending. When my papa is not Dangote or Otedola. Actually, I understand people in Alberta because that place is expensive to live because of oil money but at least they are chopping big money over there too. This is my little expense per month

Location: Kelowna, British Colombia

Minimum Wages: $10.25/hour

House Rent: $400/month(all utilities inclusive, Shaw cable and internet)

Grocery: $50 depending on my eating that month

transportation: $38/month bus pass to any where(before)

Gas for my car: $50/month depending on my movement or travelling per month(now)

Entertainment: African Magic Yoruba on Youtube grin, premiership, champions league on my shaw cable.

No clubbing grin grin grin

Which University are you attending in British columbia?

Anytime I come here, I'm always happy cos of the success stories. I pray my application ends well. Admission secured bt I wan to defer my admission till September resumption so as to enable me gather money for ticket.. pls my question is I want to use myself and my brother as a sponsor bt my statement of acct is 1.5m. However, I will use part of the money to pay tuition deposit of $6k(cdn) but I wld have printed my SOA before paying tuition deposit and submitting visa application. Will the SOA still be valid?

Oga Siga and other Gurus in the house, I got admitted into MI of MUN for fall 2015, have paid more than half of my tuition and i'm gathering my documents to apply for TRV. Please I need you to throw some light on these issues;

1. I work with an agency of the federal govt and the program i am going for is very relevant to my job. I applied for study leave and from experience, i know it would be granted, but they are going to state clearly that my studies would be at no cost to the agency. Do'u think this will affect my application adversely? Considering that I stated in my LOE that I would be coming back to the job, hence the VO may expect my employer to make some kind of commitment (e.g. study leave with pay) that'll make me come back.

2. Is it possible for one to use two sponsors who have different surnames from him/her?

Additionally, if you have any useful info about Newfoundland, I'll be glad if you can share. Waiting for your insightful responses.
Thanks!!!
