add a read more tag instead of leaving the whole post to show up on home page, there by sucking up the space.remove background image, its sucking up bandwidth.now a days, people don't add background image to their blog.they prefer it simple.you can look for a responsive template and use.create about, contact, privacy policy pages.add label gadget at your side bar. Enable the mobile template view so mobile users can feel confortable scrolling through the site
