Here is what could have been done

1.Better bus service.

2.A new Abuja Metro-Rail system.....which would transport hundreds of people by rail from the sateelite towns to the city.

3.High time there was a Satellite towns development agency.

PDP needs to do better for this country.

Not exactly. Abuja went downhill.....when Abacha put that gent Useni in charge.....and until El Rufai came in there wasn't enough effort made to stick to the masterplan. Also, the hurried move to Abuja in 1995 overloaded the city.

Still.....PDP should have done more. Especially by setting up Abuja metro.

Besides, don't we have FCT minister and also the mayor of Abuja? Oya now, make una kill Jonathan. I hope you guys will eat him too.

Was there no bad roads there when the people before jonathan were there? Hypocrisy is a decease.

Lol. We all don't live in Abuja now. That's what you call journalism. You don't write a story and show unidentifiable places and expect everyone to accept it as proof. We still haven't forgotten the lessons from history.

I don't mean to take away anything from the post, but if you expect the best from the president, you must be prepared to give your best as well. Fair enough?

That road leading to keffi is death trap. The lives it has claimed is countless.Youth corpers plying those roads dey die like chicken.Very dangerous road with deadly curves.
Blame that on d solution sniffing malu drivers who drive commercial vehicles on that road.
The slowest they drive on that road is 150km/h on their rickety volkswagen sharan and opel cars.
No wonder ppl from a certain part of this country are quick to kill their fellow humans,
They don't have value for theirs too.

When GMB was has about the high expectation of Nigerians from him if he is elected,he said we shouldn't expcect magic to happen, now i'm telling u not to expect magic to happen..

Lets take one step at a time, Gej is doing it very soon i believe the road will be among the good roads in Nigeria...

You dey mind the guy?

That is the only road to the Nassarawa axis of the satellite towns around Abuja. That road is always locked in rush hours just because there is no alternative route. What is the purpose of a well paved road when you cannot go more than 25km/hr on it?

He sounds too elitist to understand the suffering people undergo on that road daily. Some sufferimg are just unneccessary. All they need is an alternate route through Karshi which GEJ has failed to provide.

Thanks bro for confirming. I appreciate your effort. Now, we can move to the more serious issues: 1) Is the said road a federal road?
2) How long has it been this bad? I need an honest answer.
3) If it is a federal road, is there any plausible reason why it was neglected?
4) Does it lead to Buhari's house? grin grin grin

You never know with our politicians. They can be so petty.

For a journey of about 15 mins. A cab is not necessary.

That's why we got legs.

This is the reason I stay in the middle of Abuja even though I pay 1.4 million per annum for a 2-bedroom flat. Unfortunately, the average Nigerian living in the FCT cannot afford that. The FCT minister is as clueless as the president so I do not see any hope of improvement especially if GEJ is reelected.

I really feel for people in that area. That military checkpoint killed it and no amount of excuse can justify the sufferings the people go through every day to get to/fro city centre.

Fed road.
The roads are in good condition (to the extent I've plied it).
The problem is that the road is a bit narrow for the population it now carries. A lot of people moved in that direction during and after Abuja demolitions and a whole lot are moving there too because of the exhorbitant cost of staying in Abuja cities.
The military checkpoint at Kugbo is the straw that broke the camel's back.
I can never imaging staying in that axis.
