Fed road.
The roads are in good condition (to the extent I've plied it).
The problem is that the road is a bit narrow for the population it now carries. A lot of people moved in that direction during and after Abuja demolitions and a whole lot are moving there too because of the exhorbitant cost of staying in Abuja cities.
The military checkpoint at Kugbo is the straw that broke the camel's back.
I can never imaging staying in that axis.

God bless you. So what we need is expansion of the road or to build a new one to decongest the old one. If that's the case, the solution lies more with the FCT minister and minister of works. Don't the legislators see it too? Their only job is not to rat and rerat from party to party.

It is a pity that the president gets blamed for things that are not even under his jurisdiction. This is a democracy and not a military junta. I do my job, you do yours.

To know that this right in GEJ's backyard (that road passes not too far from Asokoro) is a shame.
GEJ's gov't insensitivity to Nigerians' suffering is not a new phenomenon.

CHANGE through GMB and Progressives is the solution.

This topic is not a political campaign tool.

Suggest what can be done about the road to ease movement and not this nonsense you typed.

Because Buhari doesn't have an engineering solution to that..

I can only see long lines of vehicles. This picture doesn't still proof anything as it could have been taken anywhere. We need to see the bad spots, with sign posts to identify the road, please.

Besides, don't we have FCT minister and also the mayor of Abuja? Oya now, make una kill Jonathan. I hope you guys will eat him too.

Was there no bad roads there when the people before jonathan were there? Hypocrisy is a decease.
the person before jonathan is also a pdp man as jonathan, "UNDERACHIEVEMENT" is the word for both of them.

Since you feign ignorance, the President as the head of govt is responsible for making sure everyone does his/her job. He takes blame and credit if the govt fails or performs well.

The inept FCTminister was appointed by GEJ. That Bala Mohammed has not performed and is still part o the cabinet tells you GEJ does not know his responsibilties or does not care.

don't mind them.
Some ppl's brain r wired one way, just like their brothers in d bush(boko haram)
Major problem on that road is d military checkpoint at Kugbo and d drivers who load right inside d road at Nyanya.
Otherwise,d road is in a fairly good condition.

Brother, I use to live at jikwoyi and I will tell you it was hell. I wake 5am and get home 9pm. It affected me and my family badly. Imagine you have an appointment to keep in town and you get stuck in that treacherous traffic!

But I had to move to airport road cos this government does not have plans to expand that road or work on orozo road. Please if you can kindly move. Kubwa axis is not bad too.

That road should be part of the 25,000km road claimed to have been constructed by GEJ

This administration awarded the contract more than three times only on publications. Even during his speech at the scene of nyanya bomb blast jona promised expansion of the road.

I like your line of thought a lot but why did you guys vote in GEJ in the first place? Was he tried and proved? Was Buhari not his opponent then?

The masses has a duty to the government. You can't tell the world that jonathan was better than Buhari 4 years ago and now you claim that Buhari is better. What has changed about Buhari since then?

Bush jr was not a popular choice in his 2nd term bid but he won so convincingly in that election. Much better than he did in his first bid. You know why? Americans had a duty not to ridicule their president. I remember being the only guy in my class and among my circle of friends, who thought that Bush jr was gonna win Kerry. I was right and gained the respect of my friends.

It would have been good, even great, if Jona is contesting against a fresh opponent. Someone without all the baggages attendant to Buhari. I am not pro GEJ or PDP. I am not even against APC. I have issues with the choice of Buhari, mainly due to his past.

A light rail project from Keffi all the way to Mabushi will solve that problem. There is no road that can be constructed there that will ever solve the issue of traffic on that road. That road was once a single lane road. The road was dualized, a flyover was constructed to bypass the Mogadishu barracks, even two extra lanes on each side were constructed from AYA to a little bit after the barracks. What has helped? The population keeps expanding.

The only solution is to reduce the vehicular density on that road. Do a light rail, recover some of the money by tolling the road for private and commercial vehicles at the rush hour, and you will automatically see people using the rail to go to work and back.
Re: Suffering Continues On Abuja-Keffi Road by Lamour1: 9:50pm On Feb 26, 2015
The road is good, the issue is that so many people reside there subsequently, the road cannot contain the volume of cars plying there daily. However, it boils down to our lack of foresight.it has been in existence since the military era till date, previous govts failed to expand the road as the population increased over the years. We always criticize the present govt for mistakes made by past govts. Angel el rufai as the fct minister fail to do kubwa-zuba road but when yaradua and Gej came in and Adamu alero minister of fct, kubwa road was award and completed under gej. However, angel el rufai's son on a very good week was doing 150kmph on the same road his dad ignored and he died in a ghastly accident around gwarimpa axis.

It's quite sad that democracy has finally and completely destroyed Nigeria; shamefully brought Africa at large on its knees. I remember the pace of development of Abuja city and the satellite towns during Babangida and Abacha regime; it's unprecedented and unrivalled development.

The provision and maintenance of social infrastructure within Abuja municipal area and the satellite towns under these two regimes is nothing but amazing.

Green bins and all recycling rubbish are taken at appropriate time, keeping to your appointments without having headache about traffic, 24hrs Power supply, apology from NEPA OR WATER AGENCY all over our TV before carrying out any major maintenance work which might affect daily activities of people living in d city.

Military government is the best form of government for Africa as whole but African slaves master(The western world) knows that it ll be very difficult for them to control military government, thus stylishly force democracy on us so as to control our destinies. All their attempts to destroy communism in China and Russia......

do u know the major cause of the gridlock I'm sure u know but you'll not b able to voice it out

the issue started during the obasanjo and El rufai regime of the president and federal capital territory minister respectively when they were in office

Abuja was fine before El rufai started the issue of master plan but since they are now in apc, we'll surely put all blames on the incumbent because he's in the opposition

how about the road blocks that have been in Lagos since the 1st century has anybody complained?? No but if it's pdp oya everybody rolls out the drum

I'm always there, in Abuja the only cause of traffic jam is the useless driving skills of most drivers, especially transport business rides that don't know their lane, they could even stop on the speed lane to pick passengers.
Abuja is a place with wide roads and so many road networks but drivers abuse the road, they hardly obey traffic in the first place.
Maybe it's one way to make the country ungovernable.
