The Peoples Democratic Party has challenged the All Progressives Congress to come out clear and explain to Nigerians the links between it and the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, Prof. Attahiru Jega, which informs and propels its interest in his stay in office.PDP National Publicity Secretary, Mr. Olisa Metuh, in a statement in Abuja on Saturday, said it was more than curious that the APC has continued to fabricate stories and show undue interest in Jega, adding that such raise a lot of questions for the opposition and the INEC Chairman.He said, “Undoubtedly, the frenzy, hysteria and spate with which the APC has been inventing stories regarding Prof. Jega’s stay in office, even when nothing suggests that such was on the table, raise a lot of issues.“We ask, is there any underlining issue or arrangement between APC and Prof. Jega which the opposition is hell-bent to protect, informing its anxiety and apprehension towards his stay in office?“While it is noted that the APC is a party of one week, one lie, we in the PDP look beneath the surfaces to the deeper issues propelling the lies.“We therefore challenge the APC to come out clean and tell Nigerians the real reason behind their false alarms and uncontrolled nervousness regarding Prof. Jega ahead of the 2015 general elections.“Finally, we wish to remind the leadership of INEC that Nigerians are monitoring its activities and series of unfolding political events ahead of the elections, and will not accept anything less than the conduct of credible, free and fair general elections come March 28 and April 11, 2015.”

I don't understand..is it not this same JEGA that announced the victory of PDP in the previous election? Is it not the same JEGA GEJ himself commended for a job well done and believed he will conduct a free, fair and credible election as always? So why do they want him removed by all means all of a sudden?

As if FFK (the singing bird) saw it coming, when he said "GEJ and PDP rigging machine will fail in the year 2015"

We don't want Jega sacked because we know Gej's evil plan is to replace Jega with one of his stooges so they can rig for him. Ekiti gate has taught Nigerians that PDP has rigging intentions. They tried to stop PVC reader, when that didn't work now they want to appoint their rigger

We know if Jega is sacked the new boss will most likely be a PDP stooge who will take us back to using TVCs that will facilitate their rigging of the elections. Jega by his antecedents is competent enough, let him complete this crucial task.

Why? Could it be because your otueke master want to replace him with a stooge that will help him rig? Knowing fully well there is absolutely no way he can win a free and fair election. Even the rigging have to be on a scale never seen before. Accept it, The wind of change is blowing.... Heavily!

PDP knows they stand no chance of winning this elections with the use of PVCs and card readers, so they prefer TVCs which they have been agitating for lately but Jega has refused to oblige them hence their desire to have him out of the way.

jega knew that over 27million eligible voter hadn't got their pvc and yet he kept on telling nigerians inec was ready for the elections , jega knew adhoc staff were not trained and the card readers were not yet available but he kept insisting that inec was ready. Only god know the magnitude of problem jega would have created . It is either jega has been compromised or he simply doesn't know what is happening on ground which makes him incompetent.
