Only a divisive character would send two absolutely contradictory messages to the same person through two different persons. The devil is a grand impersonator. Cursed is satan forever for deluding and agonizing mankind with Islam. JESUS is the only Way to GOD (John 14:6). The god of the Koran is an idol created by satan (Psalm 96:5). Satan appeared to Mohammed deceitfully like an angel but with questionable manifestations which an ignorant Mohammed could not discern (2Corinthians 11:14). There is only one GOD and one Mediator, JESUS CHRIST (1Timothy 2:5). Islam is a path of hell. |

parisbookaddict:Because in most cases Hadith lovers have a hard time coming to terms with gross hadith teachings. Empiree, is talking about science of hadith, according to this so called science of hadith, the hadith that reported Muhammad married and cohabited with 9 years old Aisha is Authentic. |

Atheist here. This whole issue of Muhammad marrying a 6-year-old girl is not a big deal from a historical perspective, as it is rightly pointed out that many cultures have accepted child marriage until quite recent times. I personally do not use the 'Muhammad-as-pedophile' approach, as he was a man of his time. The problem is that Muslims hold up Muhammad as the role model for all of humanity for all time. Whether or not some European ruler married a 6 year old back in the year 1400 doesn't really matter because nobody would consider him to be best man in history, worthy of being imitated until the end of time, unlike Muslims who are expected to try to imitate the life of Muhammad as the proper way of living. As a result, any Muslim who is against child marriage could be rightly criticised from a strict Islamic point of view. The Quran even gives instructions on how to divorce your pre-pubescent wife. Considering that Islam is considered to be final and unchangeable, this means that child marriage can never really be outlawed in an Islamic state. That, in my view, is a problem. I would note that Christianity does not actually forbid child marriage either, and that neither religion forbids slavery. |

onetrack:Whichever way you see it, a 51yr old man going after a 6yr old little girl is sick, irrespective of the culture or religion, let alone a man whose follower call 'the perfect man'. Using culture and moral equivalence as an excuse is despicable. No sane society operates properly under such barbarity. A man who called himself a religios leader, like mohammed did, should operate on a higher moral pedastal than his contemporaries and not to debase himself so low in the name of culture. Mohammed didn't not lead by example in a positive way. |

onetrack:U raised excellent points.. I want to add that the bible makes it clear u marry a woman and not a child..this is not even debatable. . 1 Corinthians 7:2 But because of the temptation to sexual immorality, each man should have his own wife and each woman her own husband. 1 Corinthians 7:1-40 ESV / 1,012 helpful votes Now concerning the matters about which you wrote: “It is good for a man not to have sexual relations with a woman.” But because of the temptation to sexual immorality, each man should have his own wife and each woman her own husband. The husband should give to his wife her conjugal rights, and likewise the wife to her husband. For the wife does not have authority over her own body, but the husband does. Likewise the husband does not have authority over his own body, but the wife does. Do not deprive one another, except perhaps by agreement for a limited time, that you may devote yourselves to prayer; but then come together again, so that Satan may not tempt you because of your lack of self-control. ... Leviticus 21:7 ESV / 38 helpful votes They shall not marry a prostitute or a woman who has been defiled, neither shall they marry a woman divorced from her husband, for the priest is holy to his God. notice the use of the word woman and not girl or female.. |

true2god:It is not really a science even though its proponents claim so. Hadith weren't directly collected from the Muhammad. The earliest document date about 150 years after Muhammad. Like the Jewish Mishnah, hadith have a chain of reporters said to trace the hadith from the collectors or writers through a number of reporters and generations back to Muhammad. Realizing the reality of individuals fabricating hadith and ascribing it to Muhammad, the later clergymen devised a method of scrutinizing the hadith books they inherited from their ancestors to separate true Hadith from false hadith. This method entails studying the life and character of each individuals in the chain of reporters of a particular Hadith. Any hadith with a reporter in its chain who the clergy deem untrustworthy or questionable, is graded weak or fabricated and rejected. If all the reporters of the hadith are deemed trustworthy, the clergy grade the hadith and approves it. This method was defined as Science of Hadith. |

the writer quotes the bible out of context. The book of number he quoted did not enjoy a man to marry a young girl of Aisha age but only referred to a virgin who had not known a man. Mohammed was simply a paedophilia. Read Sura 33 ayat 37. There mohammed forced his adopted son to divorce his wife and mohammed went and married the divorced wife. Funny enough, the woman was also his niece who he gave out as a wide to Zaid. The lady name was Zainab. |

Empiree:though ur argument fits well and i like that. But so many respected islamic clerics have asserted that aisha was 8 or 9 years old when mohamed (as practice by people/nation arround saudi arabia of today) (saw) married her. So why are u trying to distort fact and what we are seening with our eyes been done by strict adherent of islam today |

Redoil:And so many more are of different view as mine. My post is not my works but scholarly research. This is not even important subject. It's a mere matter of methodology. Hardly you see those defending 6 yr old theory married 6yr old girl themselves. Also there is no precedent. |

Empiree:The precedent is that Mohammed married a 6 year old. If he is d perfect example for mankind as u guys always put it, I dare say dt u r not a muslim for disputing perfection. It is safe for muslims to take his words as sacrosanct afterall, he is d only one dt received d revelation frm the angel. R u disputing his words or instructions? |
