jerflakes:The thread is a very useless one. Who gives an Estimate/BOQ without working drawings? OP find it so difficult to snap and paste the floor plan, section and elevations YET he wants a figure? No wonder we are having various issues in the construction industry. Too Badt. |

ceejay80s:You like this kind plan ? Dimensions can be adjusted to suit your plot. Assuming your plot dimension are 100 × 50, you can have 4 flats..

phemmy88:Building is by doing. A lot of people see building as a business. Architects, civil engineers, building technologists as well as building enthusiasts all build. A technogist with experience is better than an Architect or Civil engineer without. My civil engineering friend will say, " if I take you to site, you will learn ". After school, one doesn't start building no matter what he studied. Hands on experience is what counts. You won't know what a man studied until he decides to tell you. You don't need a quantity surveyor before costing a building.. |

abdulwastecx:u tried in ur estimate but u made some mistakes in which hype d amount higher. Wen u are estimating for d concrete in foundation strip, u use 0.1mx0.45mx230mm which is wrong and again, u got d thickness rite, d width rite and d length wrongly. Recheck |

100Cents:I started going to site as a carpenter and a site supervisor for my building technologist father. Naturally, I developed very good understanding of both metric and empirical measurement, estimation of materials, and interpretation of building plans. I got admitted to the university after four years of extensive site work. working with very experienced artisans like iron benders, masons, carpenters etc. I also learn a great deal from professionals like architects andd building technologies etc. I did study civil enginering because of my mathematical strength. I graduated with a first class degree from FUT minna and I love building and structures as well |

thanks a million to oga Abdul and others offering a helping hand in the house. pls how much will it cost to do the foundation of a house measuring 46feet by 33feet. also what will be the recommended size for the soakaway pit. i don't have a floor plan yet but the land is 50 by 50 on strong ground in anambra. the house will be four bedrooms with two toilets not en suite. no dining, no store, the height of the foundation is between 6inches to 9inches. no fancy finishing, just plain concrete floor to be used with carpet. the roofing will be alu zinc or good old zinc, windows will be tinted louvers blade not aluminum. wall to ceiling height will be 9ft. no veranda but attached shade with roof and no walls. pls how much will do the foundation and how much will build the entire structure if i can raise all the money at once, would it be cheaper? |

danjumakolo:What do you mean by compacted Laterite and how many courses of blocks went into the ground/foundation before the 3 course that is above the ground level? Or what u mean by filling it up with compacted Laterite is that you sand filled the building with Laterite to level up with the foundation. Please kindly shed light on how the compacted Laterite was done , the number of blocks that was used to this level , the loads of laterite used, the load of granite/gravel used and the number of blocks used. Am waiting for your kind response |

micday81:I mean there was three course inside the ground during setting...Also there was three course above the ground. This three course above was filled with laterite. This is simply a substitute for those who can't afford German floor |

| Re: Cost Of laying a bungalow Foundation by micday81(m): 6:38am On Feb 26, 2015 |
danjumakolo:So you sand filled the 3 courses of blocks above the ground with Laterite before starting the setting up of the blocks. And again is the foundation not too deep to have accommodated 3 courses of blocks in it. Pleasse tell the depth of the foudation. Thanks |
