Ttalk:The issue of the number of states where FOI is domesticated is not relevant here. I brought it up when you accused Deziani of using the court to frustrate her House probe and likened it to how Fashola frustrated a similar probe in Lagos by equivocally saying FOI is not binding on him. APC does not have the moral right of accusing PDP of the same sins they commit, it's hypocrisy. The FOI is a statute binding on all Nigerian citizens. |

If there was law in Nigeria, this would have been a good opportunity for the police and state persecutors to open a new book on him and lock him up for good. But Nigeria is a lawless country where thieves reign, where police and the judiciary are criminal enterprises. |

Trailblazer1:We have seen the documentary, the question is what do they want us to do now?? Carry placards?? Vote for PDP?? Or we should kill ourselves?? Nobody is defending corruption here, Nigerians want to see blood.... Prosecute corrupt people, hang them if found guilty, whether opposition or whoever... Is that too much to ask?? Or are you clueless too?? |

madjune:. GEJ has got far less credit than he deserves. I was actually against GEJ before I began following NL politics section. I thought he can do much better. He still should do more. Here on NL, a particular section of Nigerians chorus clueless, clueless and dismiss entirely any good things he does. It became obvious to me that tribalism is the main reason not critical analysis or comparison with OBJ government for example. The train system is a gradual one. There is a roadmap that will for the first time connect cities like Benin, Asaba, Onitsha to Lagos & beyond. You cannot expect him to connect the whole country in 5 years. With railway. And other new lines nationwide. If OBJ had done to this extent, it would be in a different phase now. Do you remember petrol price when OBJ took over? Remember how many times price went up? How many buses/cars did OBJ provide? GEJ inherited a prohibitive over 70% recurrent expenditure, little left for capital ones. Now with Otedola, Dangote's uncle and other powerbrokers enmeshed in subsidy scandal, what could GEJ do? Jail them all and pave way for coup plotters to be pushed on by the media? The only way was to fight the scam at source. Totally remove it & we may suffer for a few years. Money saved channelled towards restoring refineries, so prices can go down again. Fertilizer scam was removed at source. But in 9ja truth is bitter, we cannot afford the subsidy and expect refineries to be fixed to cater for 170million people's petrol needs, not 1980s with less than 100 million people. We have also become very cynical & cannot believe any politician means well. |

otr1:Like I said, all the noise is for the elections. Both parties are guilty of these non-manifesto related brouhaha. If APC folks are so pained, they might as well follow suit, and drop a bombshell on GEJ or any of his financiers. Politics is not for the faint-hearted, especially in this part of the world. |

fboycaestro:c dis 1 oh dem tell u say our judiciary system dey work? he bribed his way out just like d odas. all we av is corrupt SANs. av bin to lag numerous times n it was very dirty during his time as gov of state it didn't do any single tin. Fashola just had to do something even tho he was covering up the "landlord of Nigeria" Tinubu scams. |

genearts:What stops you from carrying placard on the street knowing that the leader of the opppsition that is preaching change is a prolific fraudster and a looter? It is because you are a typical Nigerian and you have been conditioned to think that worse alternatives are good for you. You fail to see the freedom in yourself and take a stand against oppression and mediocrity. He is probably your tribesman and he represents. |

Trailblazer1:Let's for a second agree the accusations are facts. What do we do with the current government that has allowed such a corrupt individual work freely? Your choice of words gives a picture of a well learned individual but lacks wisdom. The documentary further proves how incompetent the government is that is why a change is needed(at this point in time most Nigerians are not interested in the type of change whether + or - for you to know how fed up most people are with this govt) . You can't be in power in accuse people of being corrupt with all at your disposal yet fail to prosecute them. We need change if the change isn't good enough, we try another until we get it right. |

themano:Only if 'what is right' for its people is contradictory to what is right for their own people. In this case - what is right is beneficial to them as Nigerians will stop flocking into their countries and putting pressure on their resources. There is no blanket rule to conspiracy theories. |

ndubueze92:platform to express anger at unemployment, insecurity, corruption, stealing, power failure...just mention it! It's 16years of uninterrupted democracy with PDP at the centre, and we can not boast of 10,000mw of electricity. Have you wondered how Jonathan intend to develop the country with 97% of the annual spending being recurrent? Nigeria will be irredeemably doomed if we continue under this current arrangement. It's time for those who voted for this government in 2011, but feel it has failed, to correct their mistakes. For me, I've never mistaken PDP for a political party that offers hope. |

OREMUSSANCTUS:The real bastard is that person that left substance and start chasing shadow. Attack on tinubu is irrelevant cos he is not contesting the election. Must of the things said about him is not too bad cos as a business man using his company to front for legitimate contract is not an offense. The whole show of shame looks like someone is envying him. Every nigerian knows that gej never decleared his asset . It is on record he is the richest president in africa. That doesnot bother us. He failed in performance. If u like call tinubu a thief but is on record he was one of the best governors of lagos state . They said he was caught on drugs in usa and he begged usa and was released. I asked pdp to please send kasumu to usa and let them beg on his behalf. If he comes home a free person then I will believe their story. This election is not about lies, rather is a issues and facts that put food on the tables of the common man |
