Last time I checked there are other Nigerians that aren't Muslims whom also don't collect this note so why didn't you create a thread question their reasons?

I had same experience a few weeks back. A little Muslim boy of less than 15 years told me to give him the old 100 Naira note if I have that the new one is not good. I also met an Imam who openly condemned the legal tender. So it's a general notion among Muslims that any Nigerian currency note without Arabic writing is 'illegal'/ 'fake'.

Imagine where southern protectorates would have been by now. They built Nigeria to be an Islamic state. Every govt building in Abuja was never approved till a mosque is incorporated in the plan. CBN, our money house has the best mosque built in it. Not to talk of SEC, NNPC, FERMA, FIRS, FCDA, NASS, Aso Rock villa was designed to look like the govt house of Morroco.

Not even Buhari can stop the crisis rocking the north because of uneven development. they are 100 years behind southern NIGERIAN.

Visit core north and see the beggars. You will curse Lugard.

But why were the original Arabic words removed? This is what is annoying them. What were the Arabic words? The govt was insensitive to the feelings of these people. There are a lot of English words on the notes why not some few arabic words treasured by about half of the population of Nigeria. It's intolerance that may have triggered the removal of the words.
