I'm pretty sure he's on the uniform when it happened. Try to get his name and punish him on your own. I'm tired of hearing/reading things like this from the Nigeria Police " FORCE "

I don't know which is worse.. Your experience or your English...Try to work on it. You can start by developing a reading culture, read columns by great writers, listen to good speakers and you shall get there. Good luck.

I pray you experience this predicament so that you could write it up with your perfect English. GOAT!!!

99% of Nigeria Police are Criminals
They need to travel out of this country (May be UK) for proper orientation
Military are getting better by the day but Police are getting worse
All they are after is bribe at any opportunity, abuse citizen without caution
Honestly I don't know how they can be reformed
Fear of NPF is wisdom
(When you see Nigeria Police please draw back with caution.)

That's what our armed force had become under the watch of the current administration.

A fish rots from the head down.

My kontiri pipu, come March 28, make una vote wisely!

I believe in CHANGE.

Nigerian Policemen are anything but your friend. They always think of how to extort money and maltreat people.
My elders brothers house was robbed his ID card, ATM Drvers licence etc. were stolen. He went to the station to report the incident and they were asking him to pay money so that investigation could commence.....and I was like....you mean he should still pay you money after he was robbed?, I want to see the DPO.
Next thing they were asking was who are you? Identify yourself.

If I have my way, the minimum requirement for any person to get into the NPF will be a BSc or it's equivalent. With compulsory psychology and IQ test.

Treatments like this is what some people deserve so they know the real situation of the country. It's a pity, the driver been beaten like a thief could be someone's father, husband and uncle trying to make a living.

That's one reason why you can't improve. You are a brainless ediot for calling me a goat. Shameless cow that can't take a candid advice. Oga don't allow me to handle you like a military man. Then you will come back with another thread.

I've always heard of the craziness of the NPF but today i felt it also.
Early this mawning, i was going to school, i school in port hacourt, at RIVCAS, so when i got to rumuola i entered a taxi going to rumuokuta. When i entered, there was a lil problem happening on the road but it was quelled speedily by the people there. So their agbero boss told the taxi driver to drive to the front.
The driver entered his car, this time with me, a woman and two children who were lapping. As the driver started the car and started to drive a police man just came from no were and started flogging the driver with a hug stick. The driver stopped the car and was complaining, the police man was like 'eh, your talking' and immediately broke the stick on the drivers head. We in the taxi were trying to getout. Immediately the driver vex and was complaining that all his body is swelling. The police man was like 'your still talking, i go spray you oh', immediately as the children got out and the woman was about to step out the policeman brought out tear gas and started spraying inside the car, i jumped out with tears in my eyes while the driver was running around and the police threatening to shoot.

Is this how the NPF has turned out to be? The police man sef was badly dressed sef..

Sorry bro,

but thats what we all get when we refuse to vote wisely.

Op, i also live in PH, I have experienced two incidents of tear-gassing of passengers by the police late last year. At Aggrey I was at a junction (Traffic Juction by Agip) to board a taxi, there was a taxi that was already fully loaded, as usual 2 in front and 3 in the back. An argument ensued between the 2 passengers in the front concerning the little space they were occupying - too tight, shift and no shift wahala... unknown to him that the man he was arguing with was a policeman. Suddenly he alighted from the cab and brought out a canister of tear gas beneath his untucked shirt and sprayed it on the man, and other passenger's face who were still seated in the taxi as well as the driver. There was confusion everywhere as everyone scampered for safety.

Another incident was at Woji-Slaughter junction. I was in a taxi when suddenly a policeman providing escort to the whitemen of a private company suddenly jumped out of his Hilux van ran to our taxi and others in our front and sprayed us (including a 5 year old boy) with hot tear gas, all in a bid to clear the way for their vehicles. I jumped out and ran after the policeman who was heavily armed, and I shouted at him and threatened to take him to court, until other policemen accosted me and pleaded with me to leave. I tried getting the name of the company he was providing escort for, unfortunately I couldn't as none carry any name or logo of the company.

The Nigeria Police in Rivers State must be called to order as the abuse of power and tear-gassing innocent Nigerians has become a regular phenomena.

when u see a police man, u have to trend with caution. know when to shout, laugh and talk normal or even keep mute. those guys called NPF know notin about human right protection, know notin about human behaviour, very insensitive set of being. well few get sense but most have no brain. u can't differentiate them from agbero. I always see them with stick flogging taxi or bus.

lols,if u aint good with psychology and manipulating, den u can't relate well with the npf and come out unscathed,I mean they crazy sets of pple.
