Are ‘Old Man Haircuts’ The New Way To Discipline Young Boys?

“So you wanna act grown? Well now you look grown, too.”

So who’s to blame for this whole trend? Well, a barber/father of course!

Atlanta barber and owner of A-1 Kutz, Russell “Rusty Fred” Frederick, was sick of his son Rushawn acting a pure fool, so he took his clippers to the 12-year-old’s hair to teach him a lesson, while also uploading the photo to instagram.

“So u wanna act grown…well now u look grown too [old man emoji] The grown-up kids special.

Instead of a clean shape up, Russell gave his boy a receding hairline to match his “grown” and mischievous ways. Yikes! The jacked-up cut worked so well that the ATL barber decided to help other parents discipline their kids by offering the “Grown Man Haircut,” three times a week for free!

After Rusty’s idea went viral, it became the go-to punishment for fathers and mothers alike. One mom even took it a step further by taking both her sons in for the “Benjamin Button Special” while also making them walk around the neighborhood afterwards. In the video, you can even even hear one man shout:
