I believe this nurse. My aunt always takes this drug before conceiving but failed to do so before she took in for her 3rd child, like your wife, she had to do evacuation around the same time. When she came to lagos,I follwed her to a pharmacy where she got the drugs. At that time,it was 15k. As of today, she's got a fourth child. But before you buy any drug,do so only with a good recommendation.

Thank you.

Dear Nairalanders,

My heart is very heavy as I write this. I'm a member of this forum but I purposely created this username for this issue as I want to remain anonymous. Im not the type that discuss my problems in the public but what is happening is beyond me and I need your help.

My wife and I got married May 2012 and I was the happiest man on earth on that day. Many prayers were offered concerning our fruitfulness and not in our slightest imagination did we think that we will have problem with having children. As God will have it my wife missed her period the following month and did pregnancy test to confirm and it was positive. Our joy knew no bound. I immediately gave her “holiday” from any form of domestic activities. She immediately registered for ante-natal. She has been attending the ante-natal for about 8 weeks when the doctor decided it was time to do the ultrasound. The ultrasound was done and it was discovered that the fetus was measuring a lesser length than it should measure, 5 weeks or thereabout. Also the heart beat was not seen. The doctor said the pregnancy was not viable.

It was a very sad day for both of us but I managed to console her, we even went to another hospital to confirm but the same result was given. She later went to the hospital for evacuation of the pregnancy.

To cut the story short, we have had four other pregnancies that the fetus did not develop. The fetus will always develop to maximum of 7 weeks and stop developing. She has taken Progesterone injection so many times without any significant result. I’ve researched a little bit and the result I found was recurrent miscarriage. This has been a great concern for us and I'm always afraid whenever wifey is pregnant that the same thing will happen (what should be a thing of joy for us has now become a nightmare).

The pain she goes through at each evacuation is something that brings tears to my eyes and I sometimes wish she is not even pregnant so we will not go through the same cycle.

My fellow Nairalanders, please help us out, any medical advice or other things we can do to overcome this challenge will be appreciated. Please if you have gone through this before or have any information that can help kindly offer it, don’t just read and go on. We belief in our God and we focus on Him as the doer of all things but we need medical or any other advice (nothing fetish) that can help.

We live in the Southwest (Not Lagos).

My wife is now 30 while i'm 34 Years old.

Op pls take heart, it's not the end of the world sad

Am so sorry worried husband. all hope is not lost keep praying to God, I am in the same situation but what I normally do is relieve my self by not thinking too much. encourage your wife to be social and go out so that she will not develop blood pressure. there is this page on facebook i liked that deliver inspiration words to infertile women. it is EllaNaija babyshowers. she can also like the page and meet women like her. the bottom line is that she is not the first and will not be the last.

Much has been said. Keep the faith alive. Know that it is a problem and there is no problem without a solution. Importantly, know the root cause of it.factors ranging from spiritual, medical, family would have contributed to it.

1st of all I want to say sorry for the situation u are going through. I would advice that u see a good gynecologist to examine ur wife. The reason she is having this problem might be as a result of the presence of uterine fibroid, a previous infection that was not well treated, bacterial infection just like staph, clamydia and so on. U can also help support her with some supplement because I have seen many women come out of this proble using supplements that boost the immune system and fight bacterial infections and boost fertility. If u really need my help on this, contact me through whatsapp 08136478517

Sir, your focus should be solution like you have asked for.

The Bible says, A curse causeless shall not stand' so know that if the problem didn't arise as a result of what you or wife did then the enemy must have done this.
A body will continue to move on a straight line except interrupted by external force.

If its not what you or spouse did, then it cannot be a medical condition.

Questions to ask;
1. Are such conditions in your wife's family ?
2. Is there mutations in your wifes reproductive systems ?
3. Has she done anything that could have caused damage to her system ?

Personally my answer is no, and if thus yours too I surmise the following.

This is a Spiritual condition

Might be
A. A generational curse
B. A negative spiritual covenant entered into on your behalf
C. A verbal covenant you entered into pre-during-post wedding preparations etc

How to get out of this.

1. If spiritual, pray God reveal the root ; how it came about
2. Look for a very big spiritual bulldozer and remove it right from that root.
3. Fulfill all righteousness : Do all spiritual possiblities to be fruitful
4. Work in obedience with God
5. Belive that you must, will by God's command have your own biological children.

If you want me to be more specific feel free to ask.

God has and will manifest your own children in Jesus name

Note: Even when facing it spiritually, God is the one that will give that doctor the wisdom to deliver your wife of your children ; don't neglect complete health-science.

So sorry for the losses OP.
I would suggest she sees a fertility specialist who would pay particular attention to the cause of the recurent miscarriages.
Ensure she gets a full hormone profile done(thyroid function test, fsh, lh,progesterone). she shd also get tested for antiphospolipid antibodies, clotting abnormalities and chromosomal abberations. All these are known to cause recurrent miscarriages.
Pathcare lab handles the above mentioned tests. .... however discuss with your specialist before and after carrying out the tests and put your hope in the almighty God.
May God see you and your wife through this trying phase of your lives and bless you with healthy children.

Thanks. I am already making enquiries on where to do the Rhesus factor test.

All you need is to check you and your wife's blood types. The rhesus factor is the positive or negative sign after the letter. If your wife is Rh negative (eg O-) and you are positive (eg A+) then you are incompatible. If your wife is positive, or both of you are negative, then you're compatible.

I would be very surprised if that was the cause of your problem though since rhesus incompatibility typically causes problems late in the pregnancy, not at the beginning. From your OP, it seems that your wife has been having blighted ovum which would explain why the pregnancies failed to develop past 7 weeks. Blighted ovum means the pregnancy has some genetic abnormality which is stopping it from developing. This can be due to some genetic problem with one or both of you, or more likely due to sheer bad luck. Blighted ovum is a common enough problem that it happens to many (most?) women at least once, with many not even realizing it. It happening 5 times in a row is uncommon but not impossible. I once treated a patient who had 4 in a row and the fifth pregnancy was normal.

Of course there are many other causes of recurrent miscarriages. Often, its due to undiscovered medical problems in the mother like diabetes, thyroid issues and autoimmune diseases. You both definitely need to see a good gynaecologist who will probably ask for a barrage of tests. Don't go and do the tests yourself because you'll just end up wasting your money on irrelevant ones.

And please, remember to keep supporting your wife psychologically. If you think this problem is hard on you, imagine how she feels. It would mean a lot for you to follow her to all the doctors visits instead of letting her go alone. This problem belongs to both of you, not her alone.

Also, don't waste you time looking for solutions in any church/mosque/juju shrine. They'll just scam you out of money that can be better used to deal with the problem. I wish you guys the best.

Sorry to here about your situation. Would like to inform you that there is a procedure specifically for helping women with recurrent miscarriages keep the baby in. I think it is called circulage. I know Dr Ore at Citizen's Medical on Norman Williams street, Ikoyi, does this procedure. Pls take your wife there as soon as she is pregnant again. Wishing you all the best.

If You Care About Your Health – Read This!

So many people spend their health gaining wealth, and then have to spend their wealth to regain their health. -A.J. Reb Materi

The only way to keep your health is to eat what you don't want, drink what you don't like, and do what you'd rather not. - Mark Twain

Our body remains the legal tender we have to live on this side of eternity; failure to take care of it could spell disaster.

Everyday we are exposed to various toxins from the air, water, food and chemicals in our environment.

Toxic gases and chemicals such as methane and carbon monoxide fill up our atmosphere from vehicle & factory emissions. Considering the amount of time we spend in traffic, we find these gases and chemicals mixed into the air we breathe.

We also get exposed to toxins in the water we drink; everything from ammonia, bleach, chlorine, etc. The food we eat is not left behind from food additives to highly processed or genetically modified foods to chemical flavorings. The processed food we consume is loaded with sugars that alter our body’s hormonal balance creating a toxic environment in our body.

Even though our bodies are smart with in built mechanism to detox ‘toxins’, our bodies almost cannot keep up with the detox demands as a result of the above facts, hence the need for active detox to ensure our body detoxes properly to deter any negative effects of toxin build up in our body.

This is where Ruzu Bitters come in. One of its major functions is to help detoxify the body. Helping to ensure that our body stays healthy in the midst of a polluted world.

Diabetes

You and your wife should visit MFM prayer city.

Do deliverance and see your problem become history.

Be strong OP, help is on the way..the situation is very redeemable.
Forget this Rhesus factor crap as its only if your wife is Rh -ve and has given birth to Rh +ve baby or carried such baby to term before.

Rhesus incompatibility can occur without the first pregnancy being carried to term. A previous history of an abortion/miscarriage in her very first pregnancy in life can actually put her at risk of that.
If rhesus incompatibility were the case however in this case, I'm not really sure how rhogam can help after five miscarriages.
Anyway, regarding OPs case, I think this period should be for taking a lot of tests till the probable cause of this is ascertained. Getting pregnant immediately should not be considered till you guys know what the problem is.
