I've never liked the course. i want to be a Nurse. i took zoology cos my post utme score was 3 marks below nursing's cut off. And because i didn't want to remain at home i decided to go for zoo with the hope of switching. no offence though@ if there are zoologists around.

REGISTRATION PROCESS FOR 100 LEVEL STUDENTS

Welcome to the university of Ibadan;
FACULTY OF LAW.           
Welcome to the University of Ibadan, the first and the best. You are also warmly welcomed to the prestigious Faculty of Law; be ready to be a legal ninja!
Borrowing the words of my alma mater, ”many are called but few are chosen”.
Now, back to the matter, hmm…course registration, mine wasn’t really stressful, thanks a whole lot to my predecessors. But you have it all here, just at your fingertip.
Basically, you will take a minimum total of 38 unit courses, out of which you will just be taking 2 courses of 2 units stand at the faculty.
Legal Method 1 LAW 101 2 Units
Legal Method 2 LAW 102 2 Units
 
Outside the faculty you will be introduced to other faculties and departments, which are just two; Arts and the Social Sciences; ha! Not to forget the compulsory GSP courses.
Here are the courses;
FIRST SEMESTER COURSE CODE UNITS

GES 101 3
ENG 111 3
PHI 101 3
PHI 102 3
ANT 115 4
CLL 103 4
 
SECOND SEMESTER COURSE CODE UNITS
LAW 102 2
PSY 102 3

*SOC 104 3
 
Minimum Total: 38 units
*For Sociology, there are three soc courses available;
SOC 102
SOC 104
SOC 105; the course title will be known when you register online.
 
Textbooks for GES will be sold at the GSP office; you go to the GSP Office with the online registration form to pay for your GES textbooks. I bought my two textbooks for #1,800(prices may vary).
 
For Law Registration, you will go to the departments to collect your course registration form, there is no clear cut boundary between the departments of Public and International Law and Private and Business Law, just make sure that you get a course registration form from the Faculty.
 
After registering all your courses online, you also go to each Faculty/Dept where you are taking courses for manual registration.
NB: Make sure you have lots of form photocopies and any other receipt photocopies and lots of passport.
You will be assigned to a Chamber during your Faculty Registration. We have 4 chambers in the Faculty;

Yes u can switch after your first year ,borrowing courses from the department helps too,but I heard in UI ,its nt just abt having good grades and required courses,your department might nt want to release you or something like that,like give u permission to cross over,Very annoying something mschewww
