Ok, so all the police cars in Lagos were put on standby for Jonathan.

What about the helicopter(s) oga Fash provided the police?

Na Jona carry those ones too?

I hear the robbers escaped in a speed boat. Wouldn't the choppers have been more effective in tracking them than cars?

It is well!

Here is the issue.

The Police is run by the Federal Government....which happens to be PDP run.

All state governors can do is donate equipment to the Police.They sadly do not have day to day control over the activites of the Police.

And thus....people do have a right to be annoyed with the PDP.

That is why some people call for state police.

As for me....the solution is simple. We need a specialist tactical unit....devoted to dealing with urban armed robbery. They can be well equipped and surround the bank....and prevent the robbers from escaping. Like the SWAT teams in the US.

Until we have state police....whoever is in charge in Abuja will get the blame for the Police's misfortunes.

I dont how true dis news is, but whats wrong with fasholas comment, any logical person will say d same, or do u think its a coincidence dis guys came to rob while d president was in lagos? Thiefs also plan der moves before operatn, dey might as well know der will b less police available. Forget sentiments n politics, he might be right, at least he said something reasonable compared to how pdp was accusing apc for fuel scarcity.

i said this same thing two times yesterday ....... janadaft is responsible..............visiting Lagos every day.....is diverting police attention from their duties...........normally we have two stations at that location.......at d beginning n at the end of d bridge.......n also at d entry into lekki one..... ...dis is shocking...
