4 we DT applied 4 AFS officer with Bsc certweren't allowed to take part in d interview process stating a reason DT dey can't employ Bsc holder for agrade level 6 position.. d least is level 8.(here in Lagos centre).
though we were told to drop our CVS and b contacted later if dere would b any help dey can render.

I was really unhappy when they turned you guys down. Its really painful, after all the stress and all. It is well sha.

I applied 4 d same post. Though I was asked what my course of study has to do with DMO but that was just 1 of about 8 questions they asked me. What was uur own experience?

Thanks brotherly for the prompt response. Mine is slated for the 17th & 18th for the PDMO. Trusting God for a successful experience. I understand their interview questions are not generic, but it will sure help if you share the remaining 7. It will give us direction as to what they are looking for. Thanks again

I heard sm1 who applied for DMOII found out (wen she went for her interview) her name was moved to Security cos she has an Arts degree

It's not the same day. The fitness on the first day, and then the interview on the next day. The tricky thing there is; not everyone who participates in the fitness would be called up for the interview.

They screen at every stage. And, despite the fact they tagged the interview alongside the physical fitness, not every one who takes part in the fitness test will take part in the interview.

I was surprised to know that majority of the guys that I shared the fitness day with didn't make the interview. It was really sad I must say. But life goes on.

Thank you very much..... Now am hearing dat BSc below Level 8 positions will not b allowed for the interview because their qualification is too high for dat level....so they can't pay......... How true is dat?.?.?.?.?.?.

Or there physical feature you possess which they don't e.g height,weight....just tell us something. I'm sure their selection was not random. I think we should be a little more clear when sharing information, so that it will give the help intended. I remember this forum to be more active than this when it started. Please let keep the contributions coming in

You might suffer thesame fate. In any feferal govt. Job, the least level for a bachelors degree holder is GL-08. And it was clearly stated in the requirements when you were applying for the job.
So think about it. But if u believe in your annointing, u could go.

Nope. The interview is the next day after the fitness. And only those dat passed d fitness test will receive a text invitation in the evening or night for the interview the next day. Its only the DMOs that won't do any physical, thiers is only interview.

They can't give u security cadet if u applied for. Security officer 11 gl-08. If u were given security cadet, then dats what u applied for mistakenly and thought u applied for security officer 11. That's a gl-06 postion.

Because the results of their assessment says they are not physically fit. That's the only criteria for screening pple out during the PFT.
And the height too I guess plus blood pressure.

Some people are wicked ooo,even 2 themselves. how can you carry a Bsc certificate and apply 4 a Grade level 6 Job...Haba na! is that desperation or hopelessness? Give that certificate some respect na...

Bro... I didn't do anything extraordinary. Although I must confess, in all the activity we did, I did mine to the best of my abilities. But before the physical test (which I presume almost everyone passed), there were a couple of tests like; blood pressure (bp), this I think would go a long way to determine who gets called up. The higher it is, the less chances onw has. Then there is height. But then again, some people who were called up were not even up to the required height for guys (1.70). Then there is weight. Plus a doctor's report, which marks the end of the medical aspect of the test.

Sincerely, I can't really pinpoint a factor that I would say they used in choosing. There were taller people who were not called up. There were more qualified people who were not called up. There were fitter people who were not called up. So, one can't tell.

Just do your best and be hopeful in God. Last last na god dey do every.

In lag, the people who couldn't provide ND for Security and Assistant Fire positions were not interviewed. Imagine scaling through every other processes, then getting to the final thing, they deny you. Meanwhile, they were not informed of that from the outset. Guy, wetin go be, go be. Na God sure pass joor.
