Okay, you are correct. Tevez had 26 starts but if you look at it closely, all Tevez goals for the club came in the club's last ten games.

That is Tevez started 16 games in 28 matches for West Ham We are talking West Ham and Tevez here. Note, Tevez was already a South American Super star. The next season, he played 34 games for Manchester United. So a player can not be called poor because he is on the bench.

Nathan Ake is 20 years old with 4 EPL appearances for Chelsea at his age, Mikel had 22 EPL appearances for Chelsea. Na Wa.

Someone said on this forum a while ago that Nigerians are plastic fans [which I have always agreed with], we only sing praises of players when they do well but just a slip, we turn around and slam them with our big mouths.

When matic came on the scene for chelsea, Nairaland was painted with praises for matic and even curses for mikel, even our very ignorant sports journalists and analysts both in print and electronic media rain abuses for mikel and predicted that matic will take chelsea to the promised land. Alas some people have started changing their minds again as usual saying mikel would have done better, even on radio, I heard Nigerian journalists who has been bashing mikel for years saying that chelsea now needs a mikel to help them through the remaining games in the epl.

It just shows the kind of people we are in this part of the world and why we would always have the kind of leaders leading us.

Mikel will continue to be one of Nigeria's best players ever for both club and country, thumbs up for those who truly appreciate mikel's quality even in the face of heavy criticisms for the player and shame on all those plastic fans who now feel mikel may even be better than matic. its time to grow up and stop being childish.

i just highlighted that because those were our latest 3 matches, but this season at least he has been used more often, and if not for the injury he wold have played psg matches that what am trying to say

Pls stop comparing what is not ideal.Ake and Mikel comparism is absurd and u like or hate Mikel is nobody business.The fact is this,Chelsea needs Mikel now bcs Matic is tired and nobody can play the role except Mikel,that is d fact u don't want to hear.It is a pity that sentiment always override our sense of reasoning bcs comparing him with Ake shows that u know nothing about d game and should stop pretending that u don't have anything against him.Mind u d place of Mikel in d Chelsea history cannot be erased by anybody either u hate or like him.

Check the meaning of Prospect? You GATS to be kidding me again. When Mikel was a 20-year-old player at Chelsea, he was a prospect and almost a regular. You can not put Mikel and Ake in the same place.

Please Explain to me how the so called Don Jazzy of Chelsea (Matic) gets dominated repeatedly by midfielders. Ask Pastore, Veratti and Rabiot. LoL for Don Jazzy.
