Got the highest insult of my life yesterday at the Enugu center, Federal Road Safety Command, Udi, where I was scheduled for interview with Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria.

I got a text on 17th March, 2014 inviting me over and I swiftly honored the invitation. On my arrival at the Enugu center, numbers were assigned to us according to our order of arrival. But afterwards, the FRSC men started their own private selection by introducing their loved ones who had no numbers, thereby distorting the number system earlier implemented. But that did not upset me until when my group was supposed to go for the screening process. Time check was past 5pm and all of a sudden a list came out from nowhere and candidates were invited in batches to check the list. There were people who couldn't find there names despite their high score, others who did find theirs but scored lower than 70% were asked to leave the compound. This became more frustrating having witnessed tons of candidates who didn't pass too comfortably but who had been screened earlier that same yesterday. Well, having come that far, nobody was willing to leave. We decided to hang around to see how it all plays out.

Later on, the FRSC officers devised strategies and forcefully pushed us out of the compound. I was the first casualty of this unfair treatment as FRSC officials treated me like a complete tout. After a little protest, I acted the gentleman and quietly left the compound. I was outside when I saw others who had been physically harassed, and a few others taken to their cell, by FRSC officers probably acting on their own authority, doing what the interview coordinators never instructed them to do.

Sadly, the FRSC Commander, Mrs Emeordi gladly watched events unfold as her officers physically harassed innocent candidates. Men and women were thrown out of the compound like criminals. Remember it was the FRSC officers doing all this. Never did we hear from the main coordinators or officials of FAAN. We didn't even see any of them with our eyes.

I didn't want to spend another night at Enugu so I had to risk my life again and travelled back to Owerri that same night. I got to my house by past 10pm. Many were and are still stranded.

There so many questions to be asked here.

1. Is the FRSC now an extension of FAAN? Is the Minister using his powers as an ex-marshall to impose FRSC men on FAAN recruitment process? At present I'm confused which organization we actually intend to work for. Please he should be asked what road business has got to do with Aviation.

2. The pass mark for the test was clearly stated as 50% how come the FRSC officers ordered candidates who scored less than 70% to leave.

In summary, this recruitment process has been anything but transparent, its indeed the worst of its kind in recent time. It has been marred by so many pitfalls and doesn't show any form of transparency from the Goodluck Ebele Jonathan led administration. I just can't believe that in 2015 Nigerian graduates were thrown out of a recruitment exercise without regard by uniformed FRSC officers. [/b]

The insult was just too much

I'm still aghast with shock. Did u notice dat FRSC guy on blue shirt who was busy making way for one lady like dat on blue striped shirt upon black trouser. A married lady Ooo.

It's very disheartening for FRSC 2 treat graduates(some of us ve M.sc) in this manner.I feel ur pain.when I did my interview in enugu last week,officials of faan and frsc were so courteous and receptive 2 applicants.even d frsc commandant(mrs)actually gave me a bottle of table water when I told her I was dehydrated..don't knw how it deteriorated 2 this..its inimical 2 physically harass an applicant slated 4 interview..

wait o everyone!, I discovered that the last message sent was sent with d initial route used to invite us for TEST i.e (FAANRECRUIT). This may mean that, everyone invited for test got d latest circulating text, however, note that I got it too but I've done mine already, of which invite I got through entirely different route, that is (FAANrecruit). I sense confusion & later dissapointment.

I did my PFT & interview in Enugu. Obviously FAAN wants this exercise as transparent as possible bt the road safety officials & d guys contracted to conduct the PFT messed up d whole exercise. Imagine, doz dat scored the highest during the PFT were not called up for interview. FAAN should hv handled the entire exercise themselves, it seems they are less corrupt. Anyways, na appointment letter be d koko now.

What is it u said... more than 50% of the people that got dat text on Monday went tru d process successful, it's was just unfortunate that the 70 and above tin had to came up.
So please ur observation is neither logical or reasonable.

Many people went through the process smoothly despite having not been shortlisted. I advise you read faan post on the overview of the recruitment so far

I am seriously waiting for the posting, becos I knew that baba God don bless me with this job, but I really feel for those guys that were insulted yesterday by those FRSC officials, they wanted to disgraced me on 18th and 19th I went for mine, but I used no6 to avoid the insult. I saw the reason why federal government allowed Civil defence to carry gun before FRSC,those guys are animal in uniform. pls take heart my fellow applicants

the process in Abj at civil defence was smooth and cool. am waiting for my posting in Jesus Name.

The first was test invite, d 2nd was on my re scheduled test and 3rd ..'kindly attend...' who is fooling. Its unfortunate that Nigeria is a country where nobody takes responsiblity. Let FAAN and their data managers hide there face in shame if there system was hacked. If were in enugu u will feel plight of guys dat came from far distance cos FAAN unseriousness. Unless u can convince me that the multitude paid the same person. I begggg, make i go office jareee. Am not desperate. Nigeria Youth must live to tell this ugly stories-from immigration to FAAN and still counting. See thousand of cadets at FRSC Academy Udi, come to think of it, how did they get the job and ehen was it advertised cos i was reliably informed that their camping started november last year. Is FAAN try to say that paying for job is a new thing in Nigeria assuming that this helpless guys indeed paid for one. Nonsenseeeee

Plz any1 with good source of Information on when diz whole interview and PFT will end and when they will start communicate to those that made it finally for d Job...I had my PFT and interview last week...Eagerly waiting for them to contact on appointment letter

rhonke, I fink itz in lagos centre, cos I cud remember wen d dude talk abt submission of dea cv's 2dem, after they denied dem using bsc to apply 4 a level 6 category, they promise 2 contact dem, I fink they kip 2 dea promise

That is not correct. That ur credentials were not checked doesn't mean the sms was not genuine. Some candidate's name were not in their data base used for the exercise because there were not initially shortlisted. They collected credentials of those that have successfully completed the interview and promised to rectify their record. Remember the sms was checked at the gate before they allowed you in. Some with fake sms were detected at the gate and refused entry.
